I've been having excellent success ripping my various UHD Blu-ray Discs to HEVC H.265 MKVs. They play perfectly on my OPPO UDP-203 or via DVDFab Player 5, but when played on an Android device or any other non-color space-aware player, the colors are dull and lifeless. I understand this has to do with the fact that the MKV is encoded using BT.2020 color primaries, as was the original M2TS media stream on the BD. My question for the experts is, are there any knobs, switches, or options in DVDFab UHD Ripper to convert BT.2020 to the Blu-ray/DVD standard BT.709 color space?
I know other topics have asked about HDR to SDR conversion, which would be cool too, but my current challenge is watching movies encoded with BT.2020, making them look dull and lifeless.
Thanks for your help, and for a great suite of products.
