I tried (again) the latest version (11.0.3.1) to see if output size is right. Guess what, always the same issue... it's hopeless !
With UHD Creator from 4K MKV with DTS-HD MA tracks - target size BD25 >>> output after fit to disc conversion : 12.8 Gb !!!

One year and many many updates, the problem is still unresolved. See the attached log

On line : info: bd creator: set video_bitrate = 12486 (- instead of 18188 calculated bitrate)

What are you waiting to fix the video bitrate issue ? I repeat again, with UHD Copy, no problem at all... only with BD / UHD creator

So how is it that this team can have customized bitrates in Version 9, but after a year can't fix it in version 10 or 11??? I'm very puzzled.

One year later and no solution...

    To resume :

    - The output size occurs especially with Dolby True HD audio tracks - less with DTS tracks
    - This problem is present with UHD Creator and Bluray Creator
    - Impossible to set video bitrate manually
    - issue occurs with hardware and software encoding
    - Also there often frozen subtitles issues
    - With Bluray or UHD Copier > no problem at all. The size is perfect every times !

I'm sure its a bitrate calculation issue when UHD / BD Creator needs add ac3 core to True HD stream, to make it compliant to UHD / BD.

Devs, what are you waiting to resolve this very annoying issue ?!

I confirm that this problem still exists in 11.0.1.2
I cut off about 5 minutes from 2 MKV's and applied Creator at different bit rates:

Tested with 11.0.0.8. Again output size issue with True HD tracks

To make UHD's from MKV, i have a temporary solution :

If the movie is at 3840x2160 in HDR. I use UHD Creator in passtrough mode. Then with resulted UHD files, i recode it with DVDFab Copier / Full disc.
With that "solution", i can make UHD with True HD Atmos (or DTS-MA) with a correct output size. That works mostly every times...

So why, UHD Creator can't create UHD with good size while Copier can ?

When this bug will be resolved ?

I just made tests with latest DVDFab 64 11.0.0.1 - with software only encoding. Same problem. But the issue occurs especially with TrueHD / Atmos tracks. With DTS-HD, all seems right (also with hardware encoding).

It's True HD audio tracks wich cause the wrong bitrate issue.

I agree with Ministr49. I tried the UHD Creator trial version of DVDFAB on a high bitrate Mkv with the DTS-HD removed and the resultant UHD Bluray's bitrate (49 Mbs) was a bit better than half the original Mkv (84 MBS). There is no way I would buy such a defective product.

    In the future ?!

The problem occurs since many months ! UHD Creator is the most important new feature improvement on DVD Fab, and you really don't nothing to make it works great.
I can't wait more time. I repeat again, UHD Creator is barely usable without the bitrate fix.
