I just installed a WH16NS60 but DVDFab is reporting that it is an unsupported drive. I did noticed the drive came to me with firmware version 1.01 not 1.00, but this is a true UHD drive so I'm surprised it isn't supported. Any idea why/how to update this?

lo raro es que ese equipo esta dentro de los probados por dvdfab. -
You'd either have to downgrade the firmware
or try returning the drive and find one that has 1.00

I understand in the "nonUHD" Blu-ray drives why this would be necessary but what did they change in 1.01 firmware on the NS60 that would require that? This is supposed to be a native UHD drive therefore support for UHD certainly exists. (It can read my UHD discs) Is it just that this firmware is not tested yet, or did they really add some sort of protection that prevents ripper from working?Comment

They've done that to try and prevent the UHD discs from
