Hello, I currently have the Buffalo Drive with FW BU10. I ran the the UHD Drive tool and I have 2 options for UHD Compatible Firmware, BU10-00 and BU10-01. Which one of these should I choose to downgrade the firmware? Or is the one I already have (BU10) ok? It works most of the time but lately I been getting a lot of read errors.

read errors can be either a dirty, scratched or a defective disc or the the drives laser may be dying.

my personal experience and opinion . . no guarantees . .
when I think the lens in my drive (or optical disk player) may be a problem, I use a new q-tip soaked in denatured alcohol to wipe the lens and area clean. - then I use a can of compressed air to ensure the alcohol has been dried off.
More likely is the disc . . I use my old discwasher disc cleaner to clean the disc and then try again . .

ok so I killed the process and did it again, this time I left it at BU10-00. This appears to have worked. it's probably best to choose the one that is first selected for you, which in this case it was the BU10-00. The BU10-01 is just another option that I had to select after the 00 one was already selected.
