    UHD Drive Tool Buffalo bruhd-pu3

I bought BUFFALO BRUHD-PU3, and downgraded to BU10-00 or BU10-01 with UHD Drive Tool and tool said downgrade was success.
But when I insert UHD Disc and launch DVDFab or Passkey, is says "not supported firmware" and "you must downgrade with UHD Drive Tool".
With MakeMKV, it says supported firmware (but I can't try ripping because I didn't buy.)
    Is there any solution?

Hi, please send the dvdfab_internal log file and the UHD Drive Tool log file to us to look into this problem.

Also, to confirm, did you try different UHD discs?

I have the same issue. The tool claims that the firmware has updated fine, but the drive then isn't recognised as being UHD friendly.

I sent my log in via the support system a couple of months ago now, but this doesn't seem to have been fixed yet.

Strangely, when I have consulted the logs in the past, DVDFab does not seem to read its own firmware version correctly (it logs the firmware as being a gibberish string), but other software correctly detects the version number every single time following an update. Reflashing the drive never seems to fix this issue, nor does using the other of the two firmware versions that are in UHDTool. I even tried crossflashing to the LG firmware, but the same issue occurred. It did actually detect it correctly once for me - and discs played when it did, so I know that FabPlayer *can* handle this drive - but the moment I unplugged and replugged the drive again it went back to failing to detect the firmware version correctly.

So I suspect the issue is somehow with DVDFab reading the firmware version rather than an actual problem with the flashing system. Still hoping for a fix, as it's annoying to have to use another tool to access the disc when using this drive.

I tried this again after noting mention of a Buffalo issue having been resolved in some previous patch notes.

Today when I re-flashed the drive's firmware and then rebooted, the drive was correctly detected by Passkey and PlayerFab, and the disc opened and played back correctly.

The moment I unplugged and re-plugged the drive, however, it was no longer detected correctly. and I got the "not supported firmware" error again.

(So there hasn't been any change to this so far).
