Can't play mp4 720p

I'm trying to play an mp4 264 720p movie and it is choppy and crashing in the vidon.me TV app. I installed XBMC and it also doesn't play well

Is there proof this thing can play hd content. seems to not have enough power.

plays choppy, audio slightly out of sync
playing through USB port

Does this thing really play HD files?
