    Trying to update to 1.003

I haven't used my mini for a while, when I went to play a avi file it asked if I wanted to download the newest firmware (file that is labeled as Vidon.me_2013_06_19_00_02_24.exe). The file downed and once it was complete I could click on the file in the download apps, and I could find it in the file manager in vidon.me player but I couldn't get it to install. Now I am currently running 1.001, is it not possible to upgrade 1.001 to 1.003 do I need to find and down 1.002 first?

    Help!

When I open the "VidOn.me TV" app a box pops up saying (VidOn.me TV new version (1003) detected, download now? Yes No)
      1) I select yes and the download begins and puts the new file in my Download Folder. It does not auto install or ask any questions regarding installing the new file.
      2) After the download in complete I go to the download folder and click on the new downloaded update file and a box pops up with options to open as (Text or Audio or Image or Video) but no installer option.
      3) I have notice that this new update file is an .exe file and not a .apk file.
      4) When I did a previous update going from version 1000 to version 1001 the new file update was a .apk file and it installed when I would click on it.

Is this new file an error because it is an .exe file instead of a .apk file? Can I just change the file extension to .apk and install it? Any help would be appreciated.

I am having the same problem- it looks like the wrong file is downloaded when it tries to update.

The file identified as 1.0.0.3 when downloaded is named: VidOn.me_2013_06_19_00_02_24.exe.

This is indeed a Windows installer and may be copied to your Windows PC to install VidOn.me Media Center there. It appears to be 1.0.0.2 but I'm not certain as the About screen does not show the version.

I also download the image firmware image file identified as 1.0.0.1 at http://www.vidon.me/download.html and it appears to also be 1.0.0.2.

Follow the instructions exactly and it will burn the image to an Micro SD card successfully. Follow the instructions exactly again, and it should update the firmware on the 4.0 mini PC unit as well.

                Hope this helps some.
