I got my Friday and got around to setting it up Sunday. It took a couple attempts to get it up a running. The main issue I had was that my ISP was having issues, so my internet connections was up and down and when it was up it was so slow. When the problems were cleared up, things went much better.
It downloaded the update and I configured the remote app on my Android Phone.
I did find it helpful to have the setup screen for my router up on my computer to get the correct IP address.
One thing about the included remote, I used a fresh set of Duracell batteries. That is standard for me, I never use the included batteries in any remote.
Be patient with your button pushing and watch how you press the navigation buttons around the select. I read in one post where a guy said the response to the remote was backward. I think that is caused by how you use the remote. It happened to me and once I figured out what was causing it I was more careful.
I hooked up a 750GB TOSHIBA hard drive to the side USB 3 connector and it worked fine. I had a bunch of TV show saved as .FLV and it played them fine.
I am still trying to figure out how to get it to play ISO images like the advert said it would.
Give it a chance. The hardware looks good. Everything else is in the software.
I have used DVDFAB since the beginning and it has evolved and I am sure the STB will as well.
