MusicFab was failing in the analysis phase, so I cleared the cache and tried again with no success. I noticed that I needed to log back in to Amazon Music and when I did, I received the following message: Update Chrome We have upgraded and this browser version is no longer supported. Same, not working for me either, logged and it counted for 2 second license and is looping on analyzing and after 5 min of trying it fails. Please fix.

Still getting the Update Chrome message. Even before that occurred MusicFab was failing during analysis of the streams, so there may be at least two problems. Being patient...

Downloads were spotty the other day, now it seems that ALL downloads are failing.

I’m also getting similar errors as well, such as “license is NULL!”
From reading your LOG file,

The “license is NULL!” is usually when trying to get a DRM playback/download license for this track, but received a not valid license. Without a license, the encrypted audio data cannot be decrypted.
The “Check allow : 0” is usually some kind of permission that the check failed with a returned of 0 = not allowed. Usually when this is seen, it means that the DRM policy did not give permission the downloading of this music stream.

The failure sounds more like the DRM license is invalid and even a missing.

Likely a back end change, or temp issue with Amazon as of this past week (or effective first Monday of the year); or issue with the decoder used by SF. First time I’ve had an issue the past 12 months, other than the normal once in blue moon clear cache/temp, reinstall procedure.

I added another music service and the Chrome update error went away. I was able to upload a number of cds, but now is again failing in the analysis step. I did get a message during one try to check my internet connection, which has been fine.

So, today, I tried the old trick of only adding (2) items to queue. That worked.
Seems, based on how this was working the past week, that the connection eventually “times out.”

Also, in my case restarting failed time outs does not work, which would normally work if you went over the 300 tracks when doing a library download of an entire artist catalog.

Really funky. No issues with using the actual Prime Music desktop app to play music; and I am logged out of other installs such as my AppleTV4k box, to not run into the “too many devices in use” issue.
It’s like Prime is forcibly closing the connection after a period of time. total guess on my part.

Testing again today. Was able to download (2) titles, same artist, from their AZ catalog.

Just for laughs, tried to do another (3) albums, several hours later. Died on final track of album 3 with the network timeout, contact us error.

So, at present in US, with no VPN, full HD legal account, unable to download 300/300 songs. But seems like maybe 30 songs at a time max.

I always do FLAC, highest bitrate possible.

Amazon will do rollouts of its code changes - both on a regional basis and also on its catalog. I think that is a partial explanation.

We shall see how this moves along, we have no control and likely little influence in getting this addressed. So, we are left with patience.

Just tried ‘Sound City’ soundtrack, which has failed past week. Now working. All FLAC.
Did the extra tricks out of paranoia - going to the album, hitting the love/add to library, then play a few seconds; then did “download now” vs add to queue. Worked!

Going to retry Wang Chung ‘Warmer Side of Cool’ also problematic, to see if it comes down as all FLAC vs weirdo mix of OGG and FLAC, which I’d not seen before.

Looks like you’re getting it dialed in 🙂

Hm. Oddly, Wang Chung, ‘Warmer Side of Cool still coming down as OPUS, for no particular reason, contrary to the app settings and selected bitrate on AMZMUSIC

I’ve seen the occasional OPUS file slip through before, but not an entire album or even half. Perhaps it’s a one album one-off?

YouTube has OPUS as a standard, could you be linked somehow into that? I checked the album and it came across in 16/44.1 FLAC, and certainly regional differences may apply. Interesting and odd.

It was doing flac/ogg/flac/ogg the prior day. So very very odd.
I don’t download from YouTube, nor YouTube music.

Will clear cache/temp folder, and relogin to try again sometime today.

I just ran into an older album / EP that had one flac file and 3 OPUS. I converted the OPUS to flac and moved on. I’ve seen this sporadically only and catch it when mp3Tag can’t see the metadata.

I am trying to avoid OPUS as lossy format; and am only downloading from PRIME for the high-bitrate lossless FLAC stuff. So for the moment anything happening in OPUS I am sticking in a _FAIL folder to review later on. This has only started this past week, so hoping it clears up. Granted the album I was also downloading was from the 80s.

Seems to be working today. I didn’t retry the couple of bizarro titles as might be some inherent wonk on PVID system. Was able to download dozen albums today and zero drama.

Just for personal torment, will retry the couple of “doomed” titles next week.

I think this thread could be closed, as far as my own ranting is related.

I started getting failed downloads yesterday and tried again today. I will try clearing the cache, etc. and start a new thread, as this is a new problem…
