Netflix 1080p - in europe - trying out the good StreamFab before buying

Hi lovely ppl in here..

I have downloaded the “free trial” of StreamFab - I will happy support this application with a full lifetime of everything, if it works..

Netflix.. I am from Europe, and as such we have 1080p by default. And using Netflix in the browser I can see that it works. However StreamFab will not allow me to choose more than “High”, which it translates to 540p using H264 ?!?!?

Tried H265 and that ends with the 210 error (can be found elsewhere in here)..

Well, back to the question. Is this because of it being the free trial? According to their website and claims, they should support 1080p in europe..

Any advise before I push the bug “buy” button is appriciated :)

EDIT: Trying for example one of the Netflix shows (stranger things, suits), I get the 1080p option..

Trying any move (even Netflix ones) I only get the 540p option… Tried the “new” “Fall guy” - streams nicely in HD/1080p on my TV, trying to download through StreamFab (free trial!) I only get the 540p option…

The Fall Guy is from Universal Pictures ..

Since mid Oct 2023 NF only offers 540p for Sony and Universal Movies, if Widevine
Software Decryption is used. Better quality is only with Hardware Decryption.

.. SF can only download what NF offers in Chrome
and those 540p titles are usually not offered in H265

Some shows that were originally shot, or licensed to Netflix are only in lower resolution. This will often be old TV shows, and some licensed movies from Universal and Sony, I think. So, trying to download “Groundhog Day” for example, would only be DVD quality.

I tried 20 movies in Netflix (latest releases), including some of their own productions, the available download settings is the same - only H264 available in 540p.. Fall guy was just an example since it shows up first in my list, he he :)

But thanks for the fazing statement.. I think I will buy the app and pay for the good work, and see how it fairs in the paid version :)

I have already written about why “The Fall Guy” is only available in 540p
and that titles limited by NF to 540p are not available in H265.
Of course, SF cannot download anything that is not offered.
Therefore, it is unclear to me what your last two pictures are supposed to convey.

If NF productions are only available in 540p, something is probably wrong.
Please name an affected title or even better, attach your StreamFab.log
and I’ll test it after work (if no one beats me to it)
