I’m not convinced this is limited to 1080p across the board. Paramount+ appears to be offering 4K streams to some users. I’ve seen multiple reports from people claiming they were able to pull certain titles in 4K that I can only access in 1080p. Mission: Impossible – Final Reckoning is one example. For me, it’s only available as 1080p AVC. When this feature first became available, someone mentioned they were able to get all the Mission: Impossible films in 4K, though they noted the first and last titles did not include Atmos audio. I checked the MPD myself and only see AVC 1080p representations. No HEVC UHD variants are present in the manifest. I’m on the Paramount+ with Showtime plan, so this isn’t a subscription tier issue. What adds to the confusion is that the MPD description references: PPUSA_MIFINALRECKONING_MOVIE_UHD. Yet the listed video representations top out at 1080p. If someone can confirm whether they are currently able to access this title in 4K, that would help clarify whether this is regional, account-based, CDN variance, or simply misreported. I’m just trying to determine whether UHD is actually being delivered for this title or if the earlier reports were mistaken.
