That would be news to me that RTL+ is doing A/B tests (beta is here) ..
.. or why it works for me?

I have the same issue. RTL+ stopped working within the last 24h. I was on 7.0.17. (WIn10).
I updated to 7.0.18 now but the issue is still there. The download never starts. I also tried re-adding something to the download queue but there is no analyzation or yellow download button on the bottom right. I also tried re-logging into the RTL account. Nothing worked.

I don‘t have this option in the app and website but I fixed the issue by renaming the cache.
C:/User/Username/AppData/Roaming/StreamFab/StreamFab/rootCachePath/cache

Analyzation and downloads are working again.
Can I delete the old cache now or is there anything important stored in there?

I recommend renaming just so you can undo it
if login with a used provider fails.

Once you’re logged in everywhere, you can safely delete the old cache

btw: If you are not in beta - then it’s impossible to leave the beta.
That’s why I can’t find that setting anywhere

Since about an hour ago, RTL+ in Streamfab redirects me automatically to beta.plus.rtl.de and no downloads are possible anymore, even when I manually type the address. This morning it still worked. When I use my normal edge or chrome plus.rtl.de still works. Any help?

I can’t currently test - if beta used try to leave (see post 19) ..
.. otherwise try to rename your cache (see post 20)

AFAIK beta testers are selected at random ..
.. and they also receive a corresponding email

Found it on the beta website. Go to Account and then you can switch off the redirection to the beta.

Aktuell können keine RTL-Sendungen mehr gespeichert werden. Wann ist ein Download wieder möglich bzw. steht ein Update zur Verfügung?

Try to rename the cache. If it works, log in to all your services again and delete the renamed/old cache.

Throughout the past days I had to keep renaming the current cache folder every day in order to get RTL+ to work.

I just found the setting you posted about (disable “Automatic redirect to the new web app”) via StreamFab browser. At first I looked in the normal browser and mobile phone app without success.^^

Let’s hope this fixes the issue once and for all.
