Like others, I’ve given up on the Scheduler altogether, for the same reason as the OP: it could never successfully check for new downloads on any service I had scheduled, including Amazon, Paramount+, Peacock, Hulu, and HBO Max.
I also never understood why there was a dedicated setting for when to check for new videos, as opposed to the actual scheduled time you set when you create a schedule for individual series. See image below.
IIRC, this defaults to midnight but I’ve tried setting this to multiple later times, thinking it might need to “check” first at this one time for all services, then download per my schedule, but still I was seeing “failed to check” every day. Here’s my latest attempt, set to 4 AM, as most sites make new videos available at 3 AM ET, but no luck, so I gave up.
