Converted iTunes Rental Still shows as Rental and is removed by iTunes

After converting an iTunes rental, when I add the converted file back to iTunes, it still shows under the Rentals section. Next time i open iTunes the file is removed because it's past the rental period. How do I add the converted file back to iTunes so it stays there and can be viewed again on my iPad in the future?

We will see if we can reproduce and get back to you.
