This will probably work for you:
Go into Windows Settings and search for "Turn Windows Features On and Off"
Tick the box for "SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Option". You will then be asked to restart Windows
After the restart you should be able to see your DMS in Windows Explorer
However, I understand SMB 1.0 has associated security risks, so I recommend you make a Windows Network share to your DMS then turn SMB 1.0 off again (forcing use of SMB 2?). The Network share should still be available after turning SMB 1.0 off.
If you're not familiar with mapping a network drive:
- Open Windows Explorer, and if not already selected, select "This PC"
- Click on the "Computer" tab at the top of Windows Explorer and select "Map Network Drive"
- Select a Drive (eg Z: ) then click on "Browse". Find the DMS (which should appears as something like "ANDROID........") and select it.
- Once the share is created, it is advised you turn SMB 1.0 off again.
You should be able to (fairly) reliably access your DMS SATA drive and any attached USB drives through this share, which can persist across future Windows reboots.
