    DVDFab Player Problem

Just to close the loop... I gave up on the player. I cracked it open to see if there was anything on the board to indicate a reset or bootloader button sequence. Nothing. Comes apart easily. One screw near battery compartment. My player is a brick. Done with it. Moving on....

I am still waiting for mine... I ordered in November and haven't received anything. Sunny used to reply to my emails with the same excuse (december is their busy season).

Now they just don't respond to me???

Is there anything I can do to get mine??

Thanks signals, after researching this I stumbled upon a user with a similar situation on another message board. Intrestingly enough, it seems rare today but was more common a few years ago where CPU activity was 20% and preventing screen savers, sleep and hibernate functions.

I only asked because of the timing that occured.

Has anyone noticed anything strange with their systems after attaching this? I picked this up from the Post Office on Saturday 2/4 and connected it and ever since Core #4 and #5 on my PC are always active (50% - 80% usage). This prevents the screensaver from kicking in as well as sleep mode.

I don't know for a fact that they are related and can only see normal processes that I recognize active.

I'm stumped as this was the only "change". No other software updates, patches, application installs or hardware changes.

    No problems

I received my player on 2/2, shipped on 1/4. I was a little nervous with all problems being posted. The player booted up fine and was very easy to navigate. After a little charging, I downloaded 1000 songs and 4 movies to the local disk. The picture and sound quality was excellent. I also downloaded 8 movies to a 16GB mini SD card with no problems. I own a $100 4.3 8GB touchscreen HD video player. The DVDFAB gift player has a better picture quality and I like that its not touchscreen, because your not always getting the screen dirty with finger prints. So far I am pleased with the quality of the gift player, My wife has claimed it for her own, Thanks DVDFAB.

Just received my player... but won't boot...

I've just read through every post here on this thread and I've already tried all your suggestions, but still it won't boot...
I only get the "DVD Fab" opening splash screen and thats it.
I've charged it for over 2 hours on the AC/USB charger.
I've tried 3 different cables on 2 different computers and both computers won't even recognize the device...
Sorry, but to me, it's not even worthy of a paper weight.
I got all excited today when I pulled it out of the box thinking "WOW!!! This is going to be good... I won't have to worry about that big bulky portable DVD player to lug around..."
Can someone help me here or send me a new one...
How can I update anything if no computers will recognize it and it won't even boot up...???
    HELP...!!!

No, this thread is your resource. You can grab the plastic part of the battery housing with some tweezers or try a paper clip, but be careful, this is a Li-Polymer battery and if punctured can be dangerous.

    Hi robertpcx
The way I have gotten the battery out is to cup my hand and hit "gently" the player against it and it will slide out.

Check the early posts in this thread for some tips on use and things that aren't in the owner's manual.

My player arrived today. Shipped Jan. 4th, so it only took a little over 3 weeks to get here. It seems to work well so far and is easy to operate.

I still haven't taken off the plastic cover that came over the top of the screen. When I plug it into a windows machine, it tries to find a driver, but it lists it as an unidentified device.
Charge the battery using the wall charger for about two hours, then try again.
