                Hi kshduckman1170
Your last log is not a complete burn log, it will be much longer.
Also is there any reason that you are not updated to SP3 for XP.
I am not sure but this may be causing you problems.

Yes always use a external dvd drive. But even when I tried it in my regular drive on computer, it was still way slow...compared to what is used to be

I run Windows 7 32 bit....but I actually was using/trying version 7065 (?) an older version to see if it would run faster...so the last burn was on that which was XP at the time...but the one before that was on 8085 and shows sp3......

I just kind of wondered if it was happening (slow burn) to anyone else since this new version came out....if it is something I have to deal with, so be it. I t is working now and I can suffer through the long burn time. But I kind of don't want to mess with things unless it is a simple thing.....know what I mean??

Sounds like the MS trap. Unplug the drive from the USB port and reboot then plug it up and give it a try. Also don't use reccomended write speed, set it at half the rated speed of the media.

So probably go with like 8x write speed on dvdfab??

Will that effect the quality of the burn??

Yeah if the media is rated at 16X, also I forgot to mention if the drive is externally powered take the power off the drive while you reboot and before you plug it back up.

Depending on the quality of the media it can for sure. For the better!

Yeah, it is taking 2 hours to copy a dvd and make a back up. Something is making it slow. I will just deal with it and maybe a fix for that will happen.

Crazy how slow it is now.....

If your CPU load is 100% during a burn the problem is not with DVDFab and an update is unlikely to fix your slow burn. I’ll attach a burn I did this morning on an older slower 2 core laptop. The burn is at 10.1X and increasing on an external USB drive. The CPU is only minimally involved and the speed limiting factor is the burner. The burn completed in about 6 minutes.
