Thank you CBR929.
But we can't find this driver in Web Shop, only can get HP BDDVDRW CT20L.
Anyway, I agree with signals, the key is firmware. DVDfab get hybrid disk info from it. We will try to fix this when we get this driver.
I have the same issue here with a LG BH10LS30 drive, and running Fab 8.1.1.2
It used to work very well before the upgrade with this drive.
The same DVD in my external old Pioneer A105 copies like a charm.
I have the LG Electronics 10X Blu-ray SATA Writer Drive with Software WH10LS30K snd have the same problem with 8.1.1.2 also, went back to older version and works fine.
Hi All:
Summary below devices not work well for reading hybrid disk:
-BDDVDRW CH20L
-BH10LS30
-WH10L30
-TSSTcorp SH-S202N SB02
In fact, this isn't a bug of Fab. And above devices got and sent the wrong info to Fab, and then Fab read as a hybrid disk. We can't resolve this problem now.
But we will provide a simple solution that adding a check box which can enable search Hybrid disc or not in next beta version.
Although I understand your statement, it used to work well with previous versions of DVDFab and the same optical drives. So, even though this is not a bug in DVDFab, something changed in it that leads to this situation, as I assume nobody changed their optical drive firmware (at least I didn't).
Nevertheless, I appreciate you're looking into this and will provide a fix in the future!!
I've managed to find a firmware update for the LG BH10LS30 that seems to solve the Hybrid disc problem.
My drive is a WH10LS30 - I understand it is the same as the BH10LS30 but the update in question does not recognize it, and of course there is no update for the exact match.
I know that some people have successfully cross-flashed a WH- with the BH- update.
Can anyone help?
I've managed to find a firmware update for the LG BH10LS30 that seems to solve the Hybrid disc problem.
It's not on the official LG site but .
I used the v1.01 firmware, ran the executable and then rebooted. Ran DVDFab v8.1.1.2 and all was good.
Thanks Bowch, I have the same drive and updated the firmware from 1.0 to 1.01 using your link, and now a DVD which wouldn't read is recognized!
Thanks again!
