I am not sure where the Unique_ISO_NAME is coming from but it is unique - About 10 characters aaefb0129al2 - something similar to that - It must be calling from somewhere else in the dvdmassrip - It does not appear to be related to the slot - I am working on 1200 dvd collection so there would be a possibility for duplicates of DVD_VIDEO_123 - with 5 reloads of 200 -

Thank You for your continued efforts with the .bat - as I haven't been able to connect to the remote machine all morning. I think it is possibly hung. That would suck. I checked on it last night and was up over 50. chugging along.

    Thank You!

It seems there is something in the DVDMass Rip that is causing the machine to either hang or crash. I was getting alot of event ID 10 in the event viewer and applied fix from microsoft, but I think fix doesn't fix anything, it just doesn't post the event in event viewer. Remote ripper is currently down. Very frustrating. I think it ripped around 127 disc yesterday before hanging - no idea how far it got last night, as machine is off. Going to try IMGBurn / Pass Key this weekend.

        Kevin,

How is that bat file coming - My current set up with the dvdmass rip is shutting down the computer - I am pretty sure it has to do with the unique file name - I have done this before and removed the unique file name from the config and It runs fine. The downside is that it will overwrite all of the discs that do not have unique names (ie. DVD_VIDEO) - so out of 200 I end up with 150 or so.

          Hi,

Sorry it is taking so long currently at 1346 lines.

I make what I think is a simple change. It isn't. Couple hours of testing/debugging later it is working again. Until I make another simple change change.

Mainly working on the input side. To be sure I get the correct command line.

          I am making progress.

I don't have a ETA but this is very high on my to do list.

          Kevin

Finally had a chance to test the bat file -

Looks like I am doing something wrong - I probably have these in the wrong directory - Right now I have the complete folder on the desktop -

The dest is not changing - like it is ignoring the .ini - but the cmd window does not show ".ini not found"

Sometimes the dest is c: other times it show l: - looks like you had the .iso shooting to one drive and the folders going to c: -

This is fine, but I rip to the network raid - so it would need to be z: possible split it up as z:\iso\ and z:\

Please let me know what I am doing wrong -

Also - I imagine this will be different once it sees the .ini - but I need full disc instead of main movie.

              Thank YoU!

                Hi,

Looking that the pictures it seems this control card is missing.
                Code:
                src d:'DVD'fulldisc'DVD9'volume:default`isofilename:default`filenameend:default`title:default`dest:"C:\Users\%username%\Documents\DVDFab\ISO\"
The "src" in the control ini will determine what mode DVDFab is to run in. I have "src" values hard coded in the program just incase there is no "src" in the control ini file. I will update program to reduce hard coded control "src" to only 1 instead of 3. Left over testing code.
If the program could not find the control ini file a message will be displayed. Also I have hard coded defaults to run without a control ini file.(not recommeded)

                Running program with:
                Code:
                dvdfab-dvd-mass-rip.cmd d: "c:\downloads\dvdfab\iso\DVDRIP-021202.iso"
Will override the "src" and "dest" values of the first "src" in control ini. Make sure the first src listed in the control ini has the DVDFab run mode you want to use.

                src control card:
source dvd/blu-ray drive value: "e: or f: or d:" (required)
source drive disc type to be processed DVD or Bluray (required)
DVDFab run mode value: "mainmovie or fulldisc" (required)
iso output disc size value: "dvd5, dvd9" (required)(/OUTDISC value)
volume: the value for /VOLUME DVDFab command line (optional) (default src drive volume name)
isofilename: used to determine the iso file name (optional) (default src drive volume name)
filenameend: value that appended to output file/directory name (optional) (no default) (I use it for TV series season discs to append season and disc number to the ISO file names)
title: value for /TITLE DVDFab command line (optional) (default "AUTO" mainmovie run mode only)
dest: value: the directory and or filename to place the DVDFab output. (optional) (default to your documents\dvdfab directory)

                  Kevin,
Here is another screen shot - If I understand correctly the Control Card is the line in the .ini that defines the values needed.

The screen shot is of the control.ini (in notepad+) which is physically located on the desktop in the same folder as dvdfab-dvd-mass-rip.cmd

This is unchanged from previous run / screen shots.

Please let me know If I misunderstand, but I am thinking line 15 is the Control Card?

                  Thank You!

                    Hi,

The control ini "src" record did not list out when the control file was processed. I concluded the "src" control ini record was missing.

Your control ini "src" card was right. My batch file blew up on it. I have updated the batch file in the zip file. Download the zip file again. Try it.

                      Kevin,

Is there a way to make this not .iso - preference is to make Folders.

Also it may be something I set incorrectly but the output path filename (Target) was:

                      Z:\NEW_TESTNEW_TEST.ISO

                        Hi,

I noticed that that to. I will look at it.

In the mean time use something like this: Z:\NEW_TEST\ need the trailing slash. Otherwise batch file will try and process the value as a file name and append .iso to it.

                        Thanks,
                        Kevin

                          Putting the closing \ worked.

It is running now - I will let you know on progress

not a big problem, but more of an FYI - this is going into \NEW_TEST\FULL DISC\

So it is automatically adding full disc - which I guess if fine - if I convert to apple tv or some other format, it will also create a folder for that format, so I am not worried about it. Just letting you know.

                          Thank You!

                            Hi,

You have just found another problem with the batch file. DVDFab run mode Fulldisc to a directory will not properly find duplicate directories. I am working on a update.

                            Thanks,
                            Kevin

I could not figure out MTX media changer - I got as far as cmd line to the app and ? to see what the options are - It was not painfully clear. There were a lot of expressions I did not recognize.

I went looking for a different way to control the VGP-XL1B and might have found something - FreeChng from Shizzle / MediaDogg

Not a lot of information about it - but I downloaded it / and there is a lot of information in the "Config" area of the app -

I mistakenly clicked "clear NVRam" which I now know clears the memory of the VGP-XL1b so it thinks it is empty even though it is loaded. I will have to go and manually remove all discs, the reload them properly for them to be recognized again.

Hoping to pick up carousel tomorrow and bring it to the house. Remote is a drag.

I will try to post a screen shot of the area I am talking about in a second.

                                From Freechng

This is the config area - Told it where DVDFab was - Told it where the .bat file was - and it started running - 1, then 2, and so on. It was trying to make them all the same file name, but I think that might be something I did right before I cleared the NVRam and broke it.

This is the main window - that will show all of the media in the carousel, if I had not cleared the NVRam
