Finally sorted it by selecting main movie only which is a shame as you don't get the main menu function, this V9 is going to take some getting used to over the simplicity of the V8.

Hi Mickey, i have been using Taiyo yuden 8x which i think make verbatim but don't hold me to that. I guess if you use DL discs you get movie,menu's etc all on the disc?

yes they are very good discs, i use dl discs so i just clone the hole disc with no loss and are as good as the main disc, whatever on the main disc is on the clone,with read and writing time of about 1hour total. try using dl and see how you get on.

Be sure to get +R DL Verbatims and look for the AZO on the label, that is the organic dye that make all the difference. Don't use -R DL discs for video.

Thanks for the info on them 90312, what are your opinions on the RITEK 8X DL DUAL LAYER DVD+R?

I have used RITEK early on Neil and would probably avoid them now. They make good copies at a reasonable failure rate, but they didn't last long. When I'd go back to watch in a few months no video on the disc and that's where the AZO dye comes in, Verbatim copies seem to last forever. I'm sure the RITEK will make a copy but keep the original handy you'll need it again!

V8 does not work, V9 interface sucks, but it does not work either.
Will go try the Mac version next.

Trying to give V9 a fair shake. I had been using the V8 iPad profile to rip DVDs for play back on my ROKU, however none of the iPad profiles in V9 will produce a .m4v that will play on my ROKU. Any suggestions as to a comparable V9 profile to the V8 iPad profile or preferably a V9 ROKU profile.
