XPProSP3, IDK how to find DirectX version

I just uninstalled an older version (IDK which), installed 9.070, left "start application" (or whatever it says) checked at the end, a browser opened with the stupid "Thank You" page and NO USEFUL INSTRUCTIONS, and the application never started. I went back to the desktop & tried several more times with NO response, closed the browser - no response to the desktop icon, re-opened the browser (home page) - no response, went back to the TY page - no response.

I'm also among those with no interest in BluRay, profiles & templates (whatever they do), mobile devices (whatever that means), or all the other wonderful things the software can do. All I want is a simple decrypter - nothing more.

Run dxdiag from Windows and it will tell what version of DirectX you are running.

I've also had the same problem as the rest of the guys on this post. Ever since updating past 9.0.6.3, dvdfab will not start on my machine.
No logs entries because it won't start long enough to enter one.

9072 not opening

Im having the same problem, 9063 works fine, anything beyond that including both the new Beta versions wont even flicker, went into the program file and the log file was totally blank, I cant even find a trace of it trying to open, really would like to update, what is to be done?

reg410 have you tried a completely clean uninstall? And I mean removing all traces of DVDFab? Scrub the registry, clean the prefetch folder and the whole ball of wax.
