      It's obvious, I'm really computer ignorant. My concern was not as much the fact that I had the, at the time, the latest 9138 version, but that it was a BETA version.
      I have done what you said, but I am still in a BETA version, that I never had in the past.
      Part of my original request was about my concern of going from the regular version to BETA.
      My bottom line is: What's the difference between the two, and I'm I getting my shorts in a bunch over absolutely nothing at all?

        If you download the latest beta it will have the latest fixes and new features.New disks may require the latest beta to work so always try it first.The beta releases may have their own new bugs in it where as the official versions should be more stable.Each new release tells you whats new and fixed here is a example for the latest beta 9139.


        New!DVDFab 9.1.3.9 Beta is out (April 12, 2014)


        New: Added support to delete source in Ripper.
        Fix: A problem that cannot detect CUDA GPU acceleration in Windows XP.
        Fix: A freeze problem when copying Blu-ray disc to BD50 in certain cases.
        Fix: An output size problem when converting Blu-ray disc to avi xvid/divx profiles with setting video bitrate over 10000 kbps.
        Fix: A freeze problem when converting DVD to mkv.passthrough with the external subtitle.
        Fix: Some minor changes and improvements.

          Thank you GLENNS.

          I use my DVDFab for nothing else than to copy my personal DVDs as back-ups.

          I have yet to add BluRay to my OS
