My kids performed in a competition a couple of weekends ago. We bought a DVD of the thing and would like to rip it so we can watch it with the rest of our home videos, but it seems like it has some sort of primitive copy protection, so there's all sorts of blocky garbage at the bottom of the screen. The top 3/4s to 7/8s of the screen is fine.
Also, considering it was direct to DVD, it looks like it's interlaced.
Anyway, anyone got any suggestions for ripping low-rent 'homemade' DVDs?
Thanks,
Peter
