    Gaurdians of the Galaxy

Usually when I load a disc it automatically loads into DVDFAB and selects the correct MKV title. Today I went to load The Guardians of the Galaxy to rip in MKV and my it wouldn't load after washing with soap and water multiple times. The problem occurred previously when ripping The Zoo Keepers wife. I subsequently went to the website and downloaded the same version and it worked. Sadly, today it didn't work and I'm unable to load and rip. Your guidance and support would be appreciated.

I had no problem with copy or ripper on this blu ray from the store brought disk you used convertor so it looks like you used a download so I can't help you

It's not a download. It's an actual Blu Ray and I attempted to rip it as I have hundreds before it.

Blu rays have a title and a serial number your posted log doesn't and it says you used convertor not ripper or copy so you posted the wrong file.

This is Guardians of the Galaxy 2, correct? I just ripped that the other day without an issue as well. Does the blu-ray play normally in a blu-ray player or on your PC in a media player?

The logging is weird for modes. "Converter" in the interface shows as "Convert mode", "Ripper" in the interface shows as "Converter mode" - Not sure why it's like that, but I just confirmed it works that way.

290m 59.47s: UI manager: switch to Convert mode. <-- "Converter" selected
291m 07.53s: UI manager: switch to Converter mode. <-- "Ripper" selected

Don't mind the ridiculous timestamps, I'm converting Titanic Blu-ray to H.265 10bit, and I'm still waiting on 10bit hardware acceleration, so it takes... A while

Doesn't really matter the serial number of the blu ray and title of the movie is not in his log file the real log file contains this info. as posted from my real blu ray here xxx put in serial number so it can't be copied. 0m 27.68s: blu-ray AD332890ABB7569262DE1A0792F5D4B16CD1xxxF

True, though it could also be that the blu-ray is bad and so it's not even reading it to that extent. That's why I asked if it could be played in a Blu-Ray player or with software.

His log went to 22.44 secs. and didn't id title of disk my log said title name at 16.86 secs. That's my basics of logical comparing files.I could be wrong but other things in his log don't compare to my log before the 22.44 secs of his. Then if you reread his post he said The problem occurred previously when ripping The Zoo Keepers wife. I subsequently went to the website and downloaded the same version and it worked. Sadly, today it didn't work and I'm unable to load and rip. This is against forum rules and is why we can't help him unless he produces a better log this topic may even be closed depends on what the moderators see from whats posted. Also their are no read error's in his log file damaged disks always have some read errors in them.

Looks about right to me, the only line my log doesn't get is 0m 22.44s: DriveX msg: adding media in driveX D., though that may be the read error. Overall, the log is definitely incomplete (perhaps truncated?) because there are no errors at all present in that log. It was still in the process of loading the drive data when it stops. Mine tends to do it sooner (at about 10s on my main rig, 17s on my ripping rig), but it will vary by system and configuration. Either way, nothing to debate until we have a full log file to read. I agree on the download thing.. That's some weird wording.

It appears to have a slight nick on the edge of the disc. I ripped The Fate of the Furious as I normally would and it worked fine. Maybe the "nick" on the edge of the disc isn't allowing it to load. I'm also guessing since it won't load it creates an "incomplete" log. I deleted all other contents in my logs from previous rips, ripped again or attempted and pasted the complete log available previously. On another note, I watched it last night on my blu ray to my TV and it played fine. The Blu Ray to the computer is a different blu ray.

Thanks for all your help. I'll try another disc later.

Instead of copy/pasting the log, try uploading it. In the upper right hand corner of the text editor, next to the smiley face, there is a clipboard icon that will allow you to attach a file.

I see you did The Fate of the Furious in this log, but no mention of Guardians of the Galaxy 2. Try closing DVDFab, deleting the log file, launching DVDFab and trying to rip Guardians and then upload that log file once you're done.
