Wait a second I do not think they will give any more of a discount than the 20% discount already offered for the users who own DVD Copy or Blu-ray Copy and decide to get the other Blu-ray COpy or DVD Copy module. If they did that then everyone who already bought all the modules would complain and want money back.

This discount that has had complaints about is for those who already have the DVD Copy or Blu-ray Copy and decide to buy the DVD Ripper or the Blu-ray Ripper as those prices increased when they was upgraded to not need the DVD Copy or Blu-ray Copy module in order to work.

The DVD Copy and Blu-ray Copy prices are the same and the only discount anyone gets for them is the 20% that is already offered

At the time of posting, 23 days have passed since you asked Fengtao about clarifications, without getting any. What conclusion can be drawn from that?

It seemd to worth very much, but given the fact that no update has been posted here for such a long time, I don't know what to think any more.

Please let me give an example:
Recently, I bought a defragger from a certain company [no names...]. That way I got a customer account. When I logged in, I was offered disk and partition manager at 40% of the retail price. Of course, I bought it - 60% is a huge discount, and I have similar UI, menus, look&feel, etc. The discount is quite logical, as those applications are naturally connected.
But I wasn't given any discount on their specialized images/videos/etc (not general) data recovery software.

I can't imagine what can be more logically connected than Copy and a corresponding Ripper...

After all, it would be polite to finally give the old and loyal customers the definite answer instead of keeping us in the dark.

A simple statement can put an end to this issue, and we can act accordingly.
Isn't that the least that could be done - as a simple sign of appreciation of customers?

    Regards.

Maybe Anny meant that they could not offer any further discounts at this time.

yeah. I was just using it to make 1 big VOB in the process to converting it to dvr-ms. It was convenient to adapt it to my script, put considering I can do the vob1+vob2+vob3 dos command for free, Its kinda tough to justify.

Really disappointed as I like the product and it is easy to use.

    Thanks,

    Bummer!
This really is unfortunate and personally, I can't say I blame you for bowing out.
If I were in your shoes, I believe I'd see it exactly the same way

    Subject: DVD Copy/Ripper pricing(Purchase Problem)

    Message:

I purchased DVD copy a few months ago and would now like to purchase the
DVD ripper. At the time it was considered an add-in. I did not purchase
it then because I knew I could simply add it on when I needed it.

Now thats its a standalone product, I have to pay a penalty for buying
your product beforehand. Based on the thread in the forum you guys are
discussing this and how to implement a solution. Currently my trial has
expired and its my understanding that there is no solution in place nor a
date of when it will be addressed/resolved.

Are any of the following possible options?

    1) Credit for my current license and then I just repurchase the package

    2) Extend the trial period for DVD ripper another 30 days or until you
    have a resolution.

    3) Can we purchase the DVD ripper license and then get credited the
difference when you guys have it all figured out?

    Thanks,

Please try it now, all the purchase pages have been redone and I just tried it, worked fine. The $42.00 price was solid throughout if you start from the Member's Area/User Center. Still not sure what to call that area.

Yep, its expired. I honestly cant remember, but it is possible I looked at it previously to see if it did what I wanted. But I'm fairly certain I saw the pop-up saying this is not included/trial version start type message when I began using it a couple of weeks ago (it wasnt last week, more like 2, I was more just trying to indicate recently.

Ironcially, the blue-ray ripper has an expiry date of 26-sep-2010. I don't have or use blue-ray. But I was looking at those plugins at the same time, so go figure. :-)

Another idea, what if we buy the ripper now and then get a credit for the difference when its all worked out?
