I think its a bad bad batch! My only indication is that of all the new movies copied only one plays on the PS3 as also that one did not need compression either...I am trying a few solutions and will post back! Also its just these few movies that don't play as all the other movies I have copied with Fab work fine....One other note with predators it takes a long time to load but plays fine!!

Now I am the OP and I think that its the media that I am using...But I don't have the money to shell out and go pick up some other disc's just to try something that may or may not work! As I am not complaining about that I will try different media! Why don't DVDFab team pick up some Optical Quantum disc's and then burn the movies I stated I have had the problems with and get back to me?
My comment was directed at kabammi. His problem may or may not be the same as you. We try to keep each thread focused on the OP.

As for DVDFab trying different discs, they don't write the disc burning software. They simply install one (VSO) and offer modest support for others (ex. ImgBurn). Expecting them to try all the disc brands is like expecting a recipe writer to try all brands of deep-dish pans. They are all supposed to work similarly but sometimes don't.

As I agree...But what I was saying is every time there is another problem the solution is try the newest version...which comes out pretty often thing is I expect the version that I am using and the disc I spent money on to work! And the newest version does not say anything about fixed PS3 playback problems! Which in turn for me could be that I have a bad batch of discs! I listen to what you and the mods have to say on what settings to use and in some cases on what to change! But when you go to burn something and it does not work and the only solution is to try the next beta or update well it gets kinda old! And I understand you cant make everybody happy! I thank you for trying!

          Hello,

          same issue for me.

I tried Robin Hood & Millenium. If BR´s are being read correctly on my 2 PC´s, nothing on PS3 !?

          ( PS3 is up to date )

          Any ideas

          Cheers

DiabloZoe: I guarantee that even if the Fab team had the exact same circumstances as you, same version of Fab, same computer with exact same specs, same optical media, etc. they would get completely different results than you, so that's why you have to help yourself more than they can help you.

              Hi, DiabloZoe
Please try to wait a little more time about 1-2 minutes when play on PS3.
              Try again, thanks.

DiabloZoe, I finally have a workaround which works with our PS3s. It's long, but it works.

Copy the BD-disk to your HDD. Open DVDFab, and open the Bluray disk folder, compress it as you want (I do to BD25). I output as an ISO.. BUT
before IMGBURN starts to write the files to an ISO, I just open TsMuxer, and find the TEMP directory where DVDfab has dumped the compressed bluray data prior to ISO writing.. I load in the playlist that was used in DVDfab in TsMuxer.. tell TsMuxer to write to its own Blu-ray Disk folder. Start demuxing..
When its done, it will have its own bluray compatible folder.. I then just dump this into Nero's BDMV bluray movie burner in Nero Burning Rom 10.. but you can use Imgburn just as easily.

This works for me with all the disks I've had issues with. I think DVD fab is doing something screwy with the Bluray structure or something. Because the re-encoded M2TS's from DVDfab play fine when re-muxed with TSmuxer.
When TSMuxer remuxes, and rebuilds the bluray directory.. it "just works".
It's just a pain that you have to jump through these extra hoops because the DVDfab guys have dropped the ball.

Have done that as with predators takes a few minutes to play! But the others just keep spinning!

                    @ kabammi

Cool, it seems you found a bug

Lets hope someone from DVDFab will read this and react

                      Hi kabammi,

Thank you for your info, we will check it asap.

BTW, could you please tell us the problem discs' name? Thanks.

                      Best Regards,

                        Hi Fengtao,

My trouble shooting was done with IronMan2.
I also had the same issues with Grown Ups, Inception and Scott Pilgrim vs The World.

All didn't successfully play on Ps3, but with the method above, all worked fine.

DVDfab's CUDA incoder is fine, it's something either to do with the way DVDfab is setting up the Blu-ray structure/playlists, or something.. When that job is handed to TSmuxer, it is fine. I should probably have done a diff, between DVDfab's structure output and TSMuxer's..
The only caveat to that, is that I did Shrek4, and that worked fine. Although no compression was done on that, so perhaps DVDFab didn't need to rewrite a playlist or .clpi (or something) -- that is just speculation though.

Anyway, I hope this helps some people until there is a bug fix in place. I suspect it is something very minor, which might just fall out of the BDMV spec.. but is obviously tolerated by some players (Powerdvd9 on my pc is fine with it) and not by others (e.g. Ps3).

                        cheers

                                Dear all,

Could you please try DVDFab v8062 to see the result?

                                Thanks!
