burning backup .iso to 50gb bd-r DL disc issues

An iso file will not be burned to blank media as an iso. It will be unpacked during the burn process and burned as folder files like the original disc is. iso is just a container that holds the folders you are seeing kinda like avi, mp4 and such

Here is the log from a good burn.. and the ONLY way I have been able to burn these. I've had real issues getting good burns w/ these 3d iso's mind you even with imgburn.

#1 from fresh install of imgburn no setting changes use awg or 2x burn load up the ripped iso file from dvdfab in imgburn (the actual program itself.. not using imgburn as the engine in dvdfab) I still cannot get dvdfab even w/the newer beta and or using imgburn as the engine to acknowledge my DL 50gb discs..

After one good burn, I had two bad burns using imgburn but I did follow the setup guide and change a few things trying to get it setup as suggest with in dvdfab. After the 2nd bad burn I uninstalled imgburn and deleted my bd-r drive and let windows find it again.. then re-installed imgburn and from fresh settings was able to have a good burn of another bluray 3d backup.

What type are the verbatims and you should not burn them at max but rather 2x or 4x speed. It might be the blank media being used as to why not being seen as DL 50gb blank even though you using Verbatim

In dvdfab I had it set for 2x... the first few runs on imgburn I did 2x, but after the re-install of imgburn I decided to leave it at 'aws' setting in the program. I just burned 3 good 50gb full backups of 3 different blu-ray 3d discs using awg. All play perfect in the PC and in my Panasonic blu-ray 3d player on my theatre. Here is a log from the third backup (Coroline), also backed up Avatar and my iceage 3d bluray.

** Label on the discs I'm using is Verbatim bd-r DL for video 50gb 4x (from japan I think) 55 bucks for a 10pack (60 w/ fast ship)

When you have ImgBurn set as the burn engine within Fab be sure to set the write speed to recommended for both Bluray and DVD.

Looks like you didn't configure the 'AWS' correctly in ImgBurn. Your media supports 2x, 4x, 6x burn speeds with the drive you have and it burned at max speed. As AGJ suggest burn at 2x or maybe even 4x but never the max rating of your disc because you'll up the odds of a coaster.

The logic being also if the data written to disc from the iso is not correct then what's written won't be either and ImgBurn is simply comparing the data.

Just backed up my 3d bluray Open Season w/ my same method.. image this bluray w/ dvdfab (clone) to hdd, then use imgburn to make the iso (outside of dvdfab). This time I did set the max at 4x in the aws settings for this media, but it doesn't play or work any better on my equipment than the ones that burned at 6x but I guess peace of mind with costly 50gb discs For now this works... it's not hard so I'll keep doing it until dvdfab can see my 50gb discs.. it still just does the first check and spits the tray out saying to put in a DL media.. burns perfect w/ imgburn every time no hiccups.
