How to copy blu ray onto the hard drive ...

    You are not doing anything wrong. It is how the BR is authored. If you want a single file, you will have to use BR Ripper and the MT2S passthrough profile.

      If your copying it as an ISO then they can put what ever size they want! Its not bigger then 45.1 GB thats how big a 50GB disc is . No matter how many files there are when its all said and done and you look it up in explorer you can get the actual size. Like the GregiBoy said its authoring and you will encounter many movies like this!
