If I create an ISO of the Full Disc, all is well with playback.
This leads me to believe that splitter in your TMT5 isn't working right. It does its job with original content, but choking on re-encoded content. Does TMT5 have its own internal splitter or uses Haali? Do you know?
Can you do me a favor, follow this link, download and install this player: http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/
Try to play your content with this player and let me know. It's free and you would like this player.

I just done a test with Green Hornet, Main Movie ISO, mounted with DVDFab Virtual Drive. PowerDVD 10 played it flawless without freeze problem.

My guess is your TMT5 installation has some problem, maybe you can try to re-install TMT5, or try PowerDVD or another player to see the result.

I will try mpc-hc. If it is TMT5, I will be sorely dissappointed and rather embarrassed.

        i will report back.

OK, So I took the TANGLED main Movie ISO I cut the other day in which TMT5 froze right before the move started (after the initial Disney credits) and played it in MPC-HC and plays fine. So as advised, there is something wrong with TMT5.

Using an alternative is not going to work out, as I have bought the software and TotalMedia Theater's integration to Windows Media Center is desirable and has a high Wife Acceptance Factor .

I will post over on the TMT forums the issue and see what I get.

Thanks for all your help and keep up the good work. DVDFab has been money well spent!

          Michael.

            All

I wanted to post the response I got from Arcsoft regarding this issue:

Thank you for using our products.
Regarding your issue, yes, if you just play the Main Title extracts, it may bring some issues for you have lost some necessary information for the whole disc.
and TMT5 is designed to play the whole disc, so I would like to recommand you to create a Full Disc ISO.
            Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thank you for your understanding and interest in our product.

So it seems that to them, there is no problem.

            M

                  Hi mchristsen
                  A quick question for you.
How is your network wired?? Wireless or Hard wired.

                  @ IPopov50
Do you know if maybe they have updates, and the OP product may not be up to date???

It certainly a possibility. However, I thought is their tech support come back with above comment, and not with suggestion to update or anything, it must be in good order.

My Network is a Gigabit backbone with the 6TB Windows Server and one of the Bluray HTPCs directly attached. Another Bluray HTPC is connected to the Gigbit switch via a Netgear MCA1001 MoCA bridge. Another MoCA Bridge is upstairs for a Netgear EVA9150 Media streamer. My Verizon Fios Router also acts as a MoCA bridge that connects the other MoCA bridges to the main network. I also have 802.11n for my SONY TV, laptops and Wii.

As for the version of TMT5, I am running 5.0.1.87, which is the latest.

All, I posted back to Arcsoft questioning their response, asking them to point out the "other necessary information" that would be encoded in the stream. The response I got back now is a request for my machine specs, movie titles i have had problems with and further description of the issue. So maybe now they are interested.

I would use MPC-HC, however I have built a 10' experience environment that is relatively family friendly, and integration is important.

Thanks for all the responses. I will keep everyone updated.

IRON MAN AND THE INCREDIBLES freezes with the seamless branching on both 8.0.8.5 and 8.0.9.8 releases of BLU RAY COPY. Main movie only. Trying to watch with TMT5

I tried Both with 8.0.7.3 and IRON MAN was fine.(at least the parts I checked) The incredibles Freezes toward the end of the movie. The part where the kid on the big wheel says "that was awesome".

                        I hope this gets fixed.

Good to see someone else is having the issue.
Arcsoft collected some basic information about my machine and the titles I am having issues with.

Here are the titles thus far.
Tangled, UPC 786936811001, Stops after opening Disney Title Credits
The A-Team, UPC 024543725329, Stop at 00:03:54 into movie.
Harry Potter 7 Part 1, UPC 883929140787, Stops after opening WB Title Credit
The Expendables, UPC 031398128458, Stops after opening credits
I am Number 4, UPC 786936815771, Stops approx 00:10:00 into movie.
Taken, UPC 024543715474, Stops approx 01:06:00 into movie.

Apparently, they have submitted the information to their development team, so we will see if anything comes out of it. In the meantime, I am storing Full Disc ISOs and consuming too much space

I wonder why IRON MAN 2 and INCREDIBLES work better on TMT5 with an eariler release of Blu-Ray copy.

I meant IRON MAN 2 on the last post. I'll change that post.

EDIT: Opps I can't change that post. IT'S IRON MAN 2 THAT FREEZES AGAIN

I'll HAVE TO TRY MORE SEAMLESS BRANCHING BLU RAYS.

I tried MPC-HC and INCREDIBLES and it has tons of Digital Noise on the video. Plus MPC-HC Display just looks UGLY.

mchristsen do you have an arcsoft email I can sent info to?

I use the main movie too. I don't want to use up my HDD for extra features. If I want to see the extra features I'll just pop the original disc in.
