I am trying to create a "Main Movie" copy of Inception but so far I have burned two BD50s and they both exhibit the same problems. I am using ImgBurn to burn the discs. The discs are being played back on a Sony 7000ES Blu-Ray changer.
The problem is that near some chapter boundaries (but not all) I will lose the very end of the chapter, then the next chapter starts sometimes with video/audio out of sync which lasts for about 30 seconds then corrects itself.
I ripped Inception (main movie) to disk, then burned my copies from there. I am using Verbatim BD50s. I ensure that nothing else is running on the system during the burn. On the second burn I turned on verify and it claimed that the disc verified correctly (logs attached). Also on the second burn I attempted to set the burn speed to 2x but ImgBurn ignored me and burned it at 6x anyway. I now know how to set ImgBurn so that it will really use 2x for this media.
Given that I have had two burns fail in nearly identical ways (in the same places) and that the second burn "verified" as good, is this really an issue with burn speed or did it not rip correctly? Anyone else have trouble ripping an accurate uncompressed copy of Inception? Before I create yet another $9 BD coaster I want to know if burn speed truly is the issue here. I have limited playback capabilities on the machine itself.
I have had similar issues with Deathly Hallows Pt 1.
