Gummigutta, can you explain a lil more about what you posted on the previous page? Do I need to mess with CPI Strip or anything for The Roommate? Both logs from The Roommate & The Green Hornet look the same to me. Once I see those "bad sync" writes, I just quit bc I know it's not going to play in my PS3 or Panasonic BTT750 player. I'm at a loss guys....

Well, I guess no one knows or can help me with this issue. Thanks for the replies guys. I'm giving up on Cinavia based movies til something more stable comes along. Doesn't pay to be throwing discs out on mediocre movies

I did a copy of Salt (Blu-ray Cinavia) and that one worked with no funny messages in the burn log.

Tried to change the setting Reset Copy Permission Indicator Flag in the Build settings page 1 of ImgBurn, to activated (check marked) and then after a new process with DVDFAb + burn, I got those messages as you got in the log and the disc wouldn't play in my player.

So I suspect that you have accidentally activated that setting. Try to disable it and do a new run with DVDFab + burn.

Gummigutta, thanks for the reply. While fixing that setting in IMGBurn allowed for no errors, the copy still will not play in my PS3 with latest fw or my Panasonic BTT750. The PS3 picks it up and see the icon for The Roommate, it begins to load but then shoots out an error. My standalone player just says incompatible disc.

I'm just not meant to play these Cinavia protected discs

The burn was perhaps not very good and there is no verify done to tell us that.

It's cool man, I appreciate the help. I'm soooo done with the whole cinavia-protected disc thing. It's not worth the time, effort or money IMO.

I have backed up these movies using version 8.0.7.3 with no problems. Now i have a blue ray player without cinavia protection so i don't use this option. But try this older version because i have found out that the older version works better then the newer ones. Now you will have to use the cinavia option for these movies that you are tring to back up since you have a cinavia protection blue ray player. Seems like the newer versions have alot of bugs in them. I have had problems backing up some movies with the newer version and they skip and freeze but when i use the older version i have no problems. I have used the older version to back up all of my movies and have had no problems. Use the older verison first always then if you have a problem with a newer movie that might have a new protection then use the latest version dvdfab. To get older version here is the link Hope this helps you out. You might want to purchase a blue ray player that doesn't have cinavia protection to play your movies any way. These players are relatively cheap. You can get one for around 70 to 100 dollars. Just a suggestion.

Thanks for the reply. I will give it a try. I was under the assumption that all BD players made in 2010 on, had Cinavia
Can you pm me a link to a player that doesn't? Thanks

Almost all blue ray players don't have cinavia protection on them. I have two players right now that don' t have it. LG BD530 1080p Network Blu-ray Disc Player,Sony BDP-S360 1080p Blu-ray Disc Player. Both of these are older players. My suggestion is go to wal-mart or your local department store and buy a blue ray player there. One that you like and is a reasonable price. Bring it back home and try one of the movies that you know has cinavia protection on it. Make a backup of the movie that has cinavia protection on it using fab without the cinavia option usedand see if it works or not. If the protection comes up while playing it on the player you know it has cinavia and then take back to store and return it for another. I would stay away from sony blue ray players especially the newer ones. Some of the sonys have this protection. The older one like mine doesn't have it. When you do get a blue ray player that doesn't have cinavia never update the firmware on it because sometimes the updates contain cinavia. I know the lg bd530 you can get on amazon i think they are going for around 100. I just bought this last year off of amazon for 59.00 but now amazon doesn't sell this model. Definetely go to wal mart and buy a cheap blue ray player and see if it works.
