    Blu Ray Copy Audio Problems

I am running into audio problems upon playback of a blu ray copy to hard disk. I am getting great video, but no sound. I have tried once checking remove HD Audio and one time not checking it, made no difference - no sound. I am using two different bluray software programs to play bluray and the the problem occurred with both. These attempts were for MAIN MOVIE ONLY.

When I attempted a FULL MOVIE copy it had sound, but dialog was in Spanish.

When I checked the files for Main Movie (only) there was no audio in the properties.

The movies I had a problem with were LOTR: Fellowship and Two Towers.

Funny when I copied the Rolling Stones Some Girls Live in Texas and Ladies and Gentleman I did not run into the problem, there was flawless video and audio. Though both of those discs were less than 25 gig since they are from old footage, 72 and 78. The LOTR discs were around 36 gig.

    What am I doing wrong?

I appreciate any help, thanks, Johnny Cash

Thanks found out how to do it

Here is exactly what I did: Open Two Towers in DVD Fab Blu Ray Copy
Copied Main Movie, Only two audio options DTS 5.1HD or AC3 Spanish, left the DTS 5.1 HD checked, movie was analysed, then I started process, all went well, but once again no audio. File is being saved to my hard drive.

Are you writing the file to an ISO? Also when the disc is scanning in the lower right hand corner is a mini player, if you hit play you should have the correct audio coming through. Are you un checking create min ISO?

Thanks for the response, I am saving the file to the hard drive and it is saved with the following extension .m2ts

I have Fellowship being analysed right now, I hit play on the mini player at the bottom and audio came through though choppy. Should I uncheck create min iso or should I leave it checked? I believe it was checked before, I will try unchecking it now.

Also, all the other blurays i tried had more than one audio option, but the LOTR discs have only one option, is that a concern? Thanks...JC

            Dear johnnycash,

Please use full disc mode to copy, try to install VLC player to play it ( you can download it at http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ ) , change the audio stream to English while you watch this movie.

            Best regards,
            Knighter

Yes it will play choppy because its being scanned. When you played it did you hear it in english? and yes uncheck mini .iso! You should be fine after that. Also another thing what settings are you using? Try all codecs to software and disable lightning recording.

Thanks DiabloZoe, It did not play in English when I did a full copy nor could I get it to do so when I tried saving Full Movie. I also did Main movie recording and still no audio with unchecking mini.iso, I will try now to "codec to all software and uncheck lightning recording.

Also, when I get my bluray burner will i be able to move these m2ts files onto a bluray disc to play in stand alone players? Thanks again JC

Dear Knighter, thank you. The LOTR Blu Rays are problematic. It doesn't matter if I copy the Full movie or Main movie, even with the changes to the settings as Daiblozoe has suggested, no audio. Can't change the audio because the option is missing, for some reason the audio is not being transferred over. I have tried 15 other blu rays, no problems at all, but all of the others have multiple audio options in English, where as LOTR discs have just the DTS HD 5.1.

I will try direct copies to a disc once I install my burner.

Thanks again everyone for you assistance and Merry Christmas, JC
