So any word if the developers have the disc and are working on the new bd+ protection?

Argh another coaster... after upgrading to the new version. As others have experienced before, all I get is a black screen when I try to play the 3D Blu-ray clone...

Sorry to beat a dead horse but do the developers have the disc and are working on this new bd+ protection or has it been resolved?

Am reading this thread before trying a back up. Does 8.2.1.5 execute a blu ray copy of this movie correctly at this time? Thank you for any clarification.

nothings changed for me,not even the 8.2.1.6 beta has sorted my problem of black screen on all new 3ds.
However in another thread impsworld states he has been succesful with UK copy of prometheus and played it back without issues on standalones.

For me they decrypt and burn succesful but playback only works on a PC using powerdvd.
If I play it on a standalone ( ive tried 3 ) then i get the menu but as soon as movie starts its a black screen..

This is definitely working now. I used version 8218 and title 850 and it backed up and played back perfectly.

                          Hi All:
Would you please double check that :
                          1. Whether the backup disc have the ssif files in DriveX:\BDMV\STREAM\SSIF?
                          2. Whether you used burnning engine is dvdfab blu-ray write burning engine?

Cant help with backup disc as I have binned all attempts ( lost about 12 discs so far ).
I have made several attempts using several different methods,I have mostly used dvdfab burning engine..my issue was/is blackscreen with fox 3D titles, the encoding and burn say it was succesful but when I play back on any one of my 3 standalones it starts with the 3d message asking to switch glasses on but it does not find the menu or film..just a black screen and the counter does not move from 00.00.
The disc does however play ok on my PC ( PowerDVD ) so the issue seems to be that most standalones cannot read the data correctly yet powerdvd can.

There is another thread on about page 3 in which the developers have bought my lg model to test..so far they have not got back on the thread to post their results.

I could attempt to make another backup and give you the result of your first query regarding ssif files but it may be a few days as i am really busy over the next week with hospital appointments and a disability issue.

To clarify,i can read the disc, encode and mount to virtual drive and burn full movie onto a 25gb disc with success but on playback i get a blackscreen on standalones ( problems seem to be fox 3d films like prometheus, avatar, iceage 4,i robot )

                              Thanks, Gary1609.
We got many new 3D standalones, and still cannot repro the blackscreen problem. So the result of ssif, is the key.
