Perfect timing as I just received Ice Age 4 3D from Fox, which was certain to trigger the black screen. Cloning it now and I'll post the result here as soon as it's done!
I'm very gutted to report it did NOT work (LG and Samsung players). I tried Ice Age 4 3D (UK disc) in Clone mode. Should I have tried in Full Disc mode? From the new features text it seemed that should be done only for PowerDVD and TMT. There was no mention of that for standalone players... can you clarify Fengtao please?

Fengtao what happened regarding the black screen fix?

I tried Avatar 3D UK version by using full disc mode creating a mini iso ( as you must always do with 3d ) and then put in my 25gb disc fully expecting this to work after reading the fix in 8.2.2.5 but it turned out exactly the same...black screen on my LG and panasonic standalone players.
I had been waiting patiently for this fix ( 2 months now ) but when it comes it does not seem to have sorted the issue out at all
Can you tell us what you tested this fix on because it does not seem to be working with any of the FOX 3D titles I have that have had this issue.

I tried to copy Ice Age 4 3D again, in Full Disc mode this time, using the Blu-ray iso file as the source and still I get the black screen.

So the issue has not been fixed at all Fengtao...

My method for backing up was full mode creating a mini iso which I mounted using the latest version of virtual drive, then I reopened Bluray copy and choise full mode and changed to 25gb to enable it to fit on a 25gb disc.
I burnt the disc using DVDFAB burning engine at 4 speed ( i have tried 2 speed with same results ).

The Avatar disc is UK Region and the code is WW-BOGB 3960315001.
                  bluray 3D/2D/DVD set.

I have also discovered the new version of bluray copy does not fix the expendables 2 UK issue either but thats for a different thread.

                    Best Regards,

As Gary1609 said it works fine on PowerDVD for me, but not on standalone players. I don't have TMT or DVDFab Media Player installed so can't comment on these.

The interesting thing is that, for all other Fox 3D titles published since Prometheus 3D, I was still able to do a backup in Main Movie mode, but not in Clone of Full Disc modes. But with Ice Age 4 3D, even the Main Movie mode didn't work. I didn't even get a black screen, the player just says "Loading" but nothing happens and I can only see the player menu on screen... the player is just stuck on "loading" and I have to switch the power off to get it to stop, the remote won't work. I've wasted 3 50GB discs on this title! :-(

We test clone and full disc mode on SONY-S490, LG BD 670 and Panasonic DMP-BDT300.
All of results look good. Disc is Avatar 3D. We will keep testing.

Please tell us your standalone player model, thanks.
DVDFab is the all-in-one software package for copying Blu-ray/DVD and converting video file.

I have already passed my details onto xubin but for the purpose of this thread my machine is LGBP620 purchased from Amazon UK.

I am suprised to hear you have had good results on another LG model as I would have thought once you sort it for one LG it would be OK for any LG model.

I would also expect that once one fox title works they all will.

                              1. Whether the backup disc have the ssif files in DriveX:\BDMV\STREAM\SSIF?
                              2. Whether you used burnning engine is dvdfab blu-ray write burning engine?

When i did the ISO it was on dvdfab burning engine.
But i burned the BD itself with ImgBurn, what shouldn't be a problem...
