The disks i have this issue with are not playing even when doing 1:1 copy/clone !
        The backup won't play...

        ... as mentioned before : http://forum.dvdfab.cn/showpost.php?...2&postcount=81

I think its the ripping , not the conversion...

            Summary:

The blackscreen is on standalone-players like philips etc. (Philips BDP3280 f.e.)

The movies are from Fox (UK/German).

The copied movies play fine in PowerDVD ...

It's not a problem with the burn itself, as other movies play fine ...

It seems to be NOT a problem with the conversion , but with the ripping to ISO!
(The 50GB ISO burned directly to a disk won't play either...)

            (I hope i didn't forget a point...)

Why don't you all just rip Full Disc with blu-ray folders and no ISO? Just a general question and not really related to the thread, technically speaking, but I am curious. I like mine to look exactly like the disc does when you view it on the PC.

By the way, this question is for anybody, not just Jeppa.

I dont and never would want to view a bluray ( especially 3d )on a monitor via my pc.
I want to make a backup for downstairs so i can watch them via my LG Bluray player & 60 inch TV.
                I put them on a 25gb disc.

                    Hi again...

I had the time to do some testing...
I used "How_To_Train_Your_Dragon_2_3D" which has this blackscreen-behaviouer and tested with this.
(you know , a rip with "some other software" worked for me...)

I came to the point where i unchecked all the settings in DVDFab at "Blu-ray/Blu-ray Protection" and a BD25-copy of the working ISO was ok.
So i tested to rip the BD to ISO with DVDFab and then copy the ISO to BD25 with different combinations of settings ...

Now i only unchecked "Remove RC.." and "Remove Java protection.." and the copy plays fine !!!

Everyone who has this bug should test if this works for him/her , too!
