    Hi drmark12pa
You would leave the settings set to software.

I find that using software settings gives me better results verses using my GPU, the only down fall is it takes a little longer, but I would rather it took longer, than not come out right.

You have nothing to loose by using version 9, it will install in its own folder so you will still have your version 8 to fall back on.

To run version 9 you will need an internet connection, also you will go to the members area found here http://www.dvdfab.com/member.htm if you have not done so yet.

You will use your e-mail that you used when you purchased Fab and a password of your choice.

Once you download version 9 you will get a prompt for your e-mail and password that you used in the members area and not for this forum.

    Hope this helps

Just ripped it again with the newer settings and still the same issue with artifact in the right eye only. I've taken a snap shot of my screen to show the artifact on the opening IMAX screen and subsequently of 2 settings screens to make sure these are correct as I noticed I have the VSO burning engine set vs. the DVDFab sofware....

        Hi drmark12p
I searched your player and is seems that it has some problems.
The only other advice I have is to make sure that the firmware is up to date on your player.
Is there any way to view it on your computer to see if you have the same results?
I will notify the Fab staff and see if they can reproduce it.
Sorry I could not be of more help

Your making a full disk then making a iso from that not the best way to make a 3d movie.

Please try this set your burner to Fab burner in settings for blu ray disks as a burner is used to make or burn the copy to your hard drive..Clean your disk player with a cleaning disk to make sure your laser lens is clean then clean the disk your copying even if it's not dirty from the hub to the outside. If the disk is scratched up or warped from leaving it in the sun this can cause those effects so make sure it's not.

Now Load the disk in version 9 blu ray copy hit the burn tab then select your hard drive as the target now hit start when done the movie is copied 1-1 from a iso on the disk to a iso on your hard drive a exact copy minus the copy protection. Now play this on your Popcorn player and let us now if we can pop some real popcorn.

P.S. In your 1st post you said (I've tried ripping using the highest quality ripping rate and downsizing) Downsizing to me means reducing the size of the file. Then in a later post you say (I don't shrink the size down at all... the Under The Sea disc is only 14gb total.)

Correction to my first post... I never downsize any rip and with my 3D BD rips do a FULL COPY without scaling it down to 25gb.

I'm not sure why I said that about downsizing... haha! I meant to say I don't reduce the size of the rip. This one can be copied FULL COPY in 14gb. I always use the full option for 3D ISO.

When you say set the burner to DVDFab Burner, which setting are you referring to? Are you referring to the Burning Engine? I have that set already to DVDFab Burning Engine.
I cleaned the disc and will give it another go after thorough cleaning...

In post 17 you say this (I noticed I have the VSO burning engine set vs. the DVDFab sofware.... )
In settings you can set the burning engine for dvds in one spot and blurays in another i ask you to set the the burning engine to fab burning engine and you do that in Fab settings.

I am telling you working with 3d disks is different from regular blu rays and the best way to do it is to make a iso not a full disk file then make that into a iso.

When you do it the way I am telling you it causes less problems i should know what i am saying as i have 200 3d movies almost every 3d movie their is.Also this may not cure your problem but its the best way to avoid any problems.

                    Glenns,
Here is a screen shot right before I hit the BURN button. I have the BluRay burning engine set to FabBurning. I basically am making a FULL DISC iso with copy as BluRay 3D which is how I made my Avengers and Tron Legacy 3D isos which work perfectly.
I was confused when you said "I am telling you working with 3d disks is different from regular blu rays and the best way to do it is to make a iso not a full disk file then make that into a iso."
What process are you using that's different from ripping the FULL DISC as 3D ISO? Are you going to the BURN tab and making a CLONE copy?

Listen and learn I am telling you to make a 3d movie in clone mode not file mode both modes work.Clone mode makes a exact copy of a blu ray in the order its on the disk a exact copy minus the copy protection.File mode your using makes a disk of files in a different order than whats on the disk.

Developers here at Fab has said its better to use a cloned disk to make any other kind of conversion from it.Also You are making a clone after you made a file not the same as making a clone from a clone.Using clone your using less steps so theirs less chance of something going wrong.Keeping the disk as a iso clone lets you burn it with img burn if you want to use it.

Making a iso clone in version 9- open fab blu ray copy put the store brought disk in the drive hit the burn tab your going to burn to hard drive or disk by selecting the target.Hit start the Iso clone is produced and burned or put in the iso/clone file in fab to get used in any other steps such as burn the disk or convert to 25 gig or side by side or whatever. It converts with less problems in iso clone form.

So are you saying make a Clone ISO first and then a full disc ISO from that clone once it's on your hard drive? Or do you just use the Clone?

Just ripped a clone and still no different.. the right eye still has artifact.
I'm going to try the Clone with version 8.2.2.8 and see but I'm starting to think it has something to do with this disc as it's always the same no matter what settings I'm adjusting..

Your disk must be bad or its your hdmi cable or connection or your firmware must need updating.Check all wires and connections then if it still does it and the other movies you made play well its got to be the disk.I have this disk its fine.
