Internet required .... but I have it, and no firewall?

Hello,

I'm using 9.1.0.6, and receive the error message 'internet required...' when I use HD copy.

I have internet. IE works and I don't have any firewall or AV.

Is the DVDFab server down? Time is 14.25, Nov24 2013.

Connecting via WiFi to my router if that makes any difference.

On further investigation, I think DVDFab can see the server because if I start it without my internet connection, the startup splash screen waits at the 'contacting server' message. If I enable the connection, the splash screen hides quickly and the main program displays.

I still get the same error message after I insert the disc.

Running XP SP3.

Do you get this error if the title you're tying to copy is too new?

Post your internal log see post link on how to.You must be connected to the internet and new copy protection won't give you internet required message.

I would also like to add that I installed the latest version of DVDFab over an old copy (v8.1.7.3) without uninstalling it first, in case the uninstall routine removed some of my codecs.

It looks like this extended version has new copy protection in it the regular version works fine so you will have to wait till Fab fixes this with a server update.Also try another disk then you will know that everything is working ok.

I got the need internet pop up box with the new beta version 9108 log below. I just took it off screen and clicked on the Fab program and it ran ok.

My second log is with the program running to put a disk on hard drive using iso to hard drive you will see some inside program failed to run but it didn't effect burning the iso to hard drive the first log was when the message box came up with need internet access that I always had.

Seems there's a bug in the program or installer.The other 1st poster in topic had this problem with the 9106 version of fab his disk didn't open but that may need a server update for his new extended version disk.

Note to developers thanks for putting drive id and firmware back in the logs this will help troubleshoot user's problems due to some people never updating their drives firmware.
