Your blu ray burner is out of date their is new firmware for it.

As with any Firmware updates make sure you follow all directions to the letter or you can trash your burner.

just because the disc plays fine in your ps3 doesn't mean it will copy.
exchange the disc at the store and try again.

Thanks for the response. Yes im very well aware of that it may be playable on a standalone player and not work on pc drive even though spec says it must but thanks for that reply anyway as you would not of known if i knew or not.

I am contemplating to return it but wanted to verify to see if its an issue with the disc itself or something with dvdfab before going that route. In other words the fab folks or others had backed this title up before without issues, before i go thru the return process only to discover later that it was an issue with dvdfab. And so far no one has responded that it has worked for them which gives me some concern.

I had some time back order a movie from amazon and dvdfab did not work and got read errors. Returned it for new disc and got same error, after couple go rounds dvdfab got error but another tool did not that i tried out their trial version.

I also had another movie disc that i had backed up before with the 8.x version as i wanted to do some other conversions for it and under version 9 it would not read last two weeks. Finally found the 8.x version that worked before and got it backed up that way. That's why i'm hoping to hear some response either way before going the return route and possibly end up with same problem.

if you don't want to return the disc, you might try an older version of dvdfab found
here - cause sometimes users have found older versions work too.

thanks once again for your link, im gonna look into it also, it would be helpful though if the fab folks chimed in one way or another and thus save valuable time if you know what i mean or if someone else chimed in with the version that worked for them versus and hunt and hope method

You might also turn off CUDA, your card is really marginal. Stranger things have happened See attached:

That did the trick. I had thought late last night about trying another test today with gpu accerlation disabled today. Your post reminded me of it and it worked for Elysium. Still had a problem with JOBS as fab 9 still did not see it and i tried many things.

Finally i had downloaded a trial version of another player and started it since my other pc player did not see it. After short while of disc spinning suddenly it was recognized and then Fab 9 saw it all of a sudden and then was able to get it backed up also. Thanks a bunch for all assistance from everyone involved
