They are not stupid by any means. Any help that i can get on this subject will make my life alot easier. Heres what I have done so far as an admin:
I have played the actual blu ray disk and there is sound
I have intalled the recommended code: k-lite mega
I have updated everys ingle driver i have: audio and visual
I have restarted the comp many times
I have retried ripping each movie that i have been have problems with no success
The only movie that has worked so far is the Hurt Locker
If the is a non-commentary Dolbly Digital audio option it seems to work, but Wolverine, Inglourious Bastards, and Gi Joe do not offer these audio options.

I dont know what else to do. A friend of mine has a Mvix stnad alone media player that Im going to hook my hard drive up to and he thinks that it will play the movies with sound because the player supports DTS HD format. I just dont get it. Ive tried every which way there is to try with this software which is good, but I dont know if Im doing something wrong on my end> any other suggestions would be appreciated. Again my apologies to the Moderators if this is becoming an annoyance, but i just feel like I am not getting my moneys worth here. Please help

As stated you'll need to use software that's intended for Blu-ray format. Playing the m2ts file directly is not always possible and requires the folder structure.

It looks like the authoring on those disks is causing the problems. Just grabbed this from the Blu-Ray specs:-

What audio codecs will Blu-ray support?

Linear PCM (LPCM) - up to 8 channels of uncompressed audio. (mandatory)
Dolby Digital (DD) - format used for DVDs, 5.1-channel surround sound. (mandatory)
Dolby Digital Plus (DD+) - extension of Dolby Digital, 7.1-channel surround sound. (optional)
Dolby TrueHD - lossless encoding of up to 8 channels of audio. (optional)
DTS Digital Surround - format used for DVDs, 5.1-channel surround sound. (mandatory)
DTS-HD High Resolution Audio - extension of DTS, 7.1-channel surround sound. (optional)
DTS-HD Master Audio - lossless encoding of up to 8 channels of audio. (optional)

Please note that this simply means that Blu-ray players and recorders will have to support playback of these audio codecs, it will still be up to the movie studios to decide which audio codec(s) they use for their releases.

Note that it is not mandatory that a BD player be able to play

          DTS-HD High Resolution Audio
          DTS-HD Master Audio

So these disks could have problems in some set top players also. Poor authoring if what you are telling us is correct as there always should be one mandatory audio track. Could you please check the cases and see wat it tells you there?

Does any other user out there have these disks and can confirm what beater is telling us?

Inglourious Bastards: English DTS HD Master Audio 5.1-English Dolby Digital 5.1 and 2.0
DVDfab displayed formats: DTS HD English, Frensh, and Spanish (NO Dolby Digital)
Wolverine: English DTS HD Master Audio 5.1-English Dolby Digital for visually impaired, French, Spanish, and Protugese
DVDfab displayed formays: DTS HD-Dolby Digital acv3:two w/commentary and one w/ visualy impaired description of movie, spanish and french versions of those as wwell
GI Joe: DTS HD 5.1-English Dolby Digital 5.1
DVDfab: Same as wolverine with the exception of visualy impaired description of movie

Other info that would maybe help is that when previewed before ripping each version of audio format plays on DVDfap previewer as described but when ripped to hard drive there no sound but great picture. Does this help?

So itried the ISO option last night on wolverine and my comp completley froze up on me and wanted to take 25 hours to write it to the hard drive. I gave up on that idea. So I am 1 for 5 on successfully ripping blurays woth this software. Does anyone else out there have anymore suggestions for me regarding the no audio ofter ip problem? Should I just give up all together or is there any hope of getting support on this problem? My girlfriend is getting jealous of all the time I'm putting into this prob. Hahaha.

I am going to try and back my bluray of inglorious bastards, I have windows 7, i will let you know how it goes. in a few hours. RiZ

PS- I have had pretty good luck with blurays("movie only" to BD-R25media) as long as they dont need compression(that seems to take an aw-fall long time to copy).

                            Alright thanks man
. Are you saying that your using bd 25 instead of BD50 on the option pull down(main menu of dvdfab)before you burn to hard drive? And can you tell me what audio formats are available to you before you burn? I only could get DTS HD, no dolby? Thanks

yes, i compress it down to 25 gigs(movie only) and save to hard drive so i can then copy it to a blank bly-ray disc(BD-R25), because i am not paying $20 for bd-r50 media(dual layer blu-ray blank disc). or does anyone know where it is less expensive(BD-R50)??
