Update: I have now determined that it is not my comp that is having the issue of no audio rather it is the ripping process that is not ripping the audio from the disc. I took the hard drive and transfered the ripped movie to a mvix movie player that will play all audio formats and it also played the movie without audio. My only guess is that for some reason whether its DVDfab software or my comp, there is no audio being ripped from the movie. This is very discouraging and frustrating at the same time as I cannot figure out to make this program work. if anyone or any developers can help with this issue it would be very much apprecieated as i am never using this software again until i can figure out how to make it work. Please reply to this thread if anyone wants anymore info regarding this problem. I will provide any and all info.

Did you ever test with Totalmedia Theatre 3 and play it back the way it is intended instead of selecting the m2ts file directly?

I just got done decrypting inglorious bastereds, compressing to 25 gigs(main movie only), coping to hard drive and then ripping to BD-R25 and now watching on sony bluray player without any problems, audio is perfect, compression took awhile 5 hrs but i belive it was around 34 gigs....so it is what it is. so far so good. thanks riz

do you need any more info?? i will try and find for you.

Teated with total media theatre 3. Unsupported media type is what it tells me. Tried rizzo7883 way and still there is no audio. I dont know what to tell you guys. I have reset to all default settings and tried again. I just dont get it, probably never will. Wish you guys could just use my exact computer and you would understand whats going. There is no audio being ripped from the blu ray unless its a basic dolby digital with no commentary. Any other suggestions? Ha ha ha.

I do see what he is saying. I don't understand it myself. I decrypt, compress, and save it to hard drive. Then i burnt it to a BD-R25 disc and played fine in standalone sony blu-ray player, so I thought all was good, and I tried playing the file saved on hard drive with my PC useitg powerdvd hd and i get french audio, wow don't understand and i don't know how to change cant find a place to change audio. weird. so i can see what he is saying.

Would that not suggest to you that PowerDVD is not up to scratch? Or are you trying to play the files, not the folder?

I cannot talk about Blu-Ray as I currently refuse to spend the $$$ but in the DVD scene, if you playthe VOB files, instead of opening the folder, you end up with similar weird audio and subtitle playback problems.

Alas someone can feel my pain of not understanding what the problem was. I finally got an answer bach from customer support and will post any other info I find on the matter. Suffice to say thought that I think its a software problem on dvdfab end. Not mine. Why spend a 100$ for tmt3 to fix a 60$ program that isn't working right. The total media thatre program says it support the m2ts format and a fully ripped bluray of gi joe won't even play, unsupported format. Weird, very weird. Thanks riz for confirming results

Tried playing folder instead of file and vise a versa withe same result in wmp, no audio and same result with total media theatre 3, unsupported media. Even with k lite mega codec downloaded the total media theatre should have been able to pkay as advertised on their site.

a thread explaining issues about PowerDVD but it's only partially correct, it will work if mounting iso files or playing back from disc.
That's why rizzo has problems playing back from hdd, even TMT3 may not play back correctly unless you select the main folder or rip as iso and mount to a virtual drive.

Since you said you tried burning to disc post the burn log and something may show up there.

Also you mentioned playing the original back on your computer with sound, how did you play it back, what software?

I think some if not most of your problems will be related to this drive you said you were using MATSHITA BD-CMB UJ140AS.

I have never been able to get playback with the above mentioned movies. Except for hurt locker. I have refered this thread along with specs to the developers. Why would the drive accept dolby but not dts, yet when you playback the original bluray cd on driveyou can hear any format that you want? Its confusing I know but there has to be something like you said with the drive not ripping it or the software not selecting it to rip in the initial rip.

Like I asked how did you play it back on your computer?

Do you mean WinDVD 2010? Tested this software and it acts just like PowerDVD, no playback from folder method but you can mount iso rips to a virtual drive.
What you're wanting fab to create is streamable files and it can't do that yet. They're working on Blu-ray to Mobile but no release date has been mentioned.

Those Matshita drives are the worst drives ever made and it's always the best practice if using a laptop to invest in an external optical drive because of the heat generated by them. It may be fine to read the disc but I would never attempt a burn with a lappy's internal drive.

If you want to test again try ripping as an iso file in full disc mode then mount that to a virtual drive and use WinDVD2010 for playback, just select that drive as the source.
I think rizzo already comfirmed Fab can do this title.

What about the fact that the hurt locker was able to be ripped to a hard drive just fine? And a nother question I have is what if instead of ripping to the hard drive I instead rip it to a MVIX media player or is that still considered a mobile option? What I am essential getting from all this is that I can make coppies of the blu rya and put them on a bdr 25 but I can't put them on a hard drive just yet. Sucks to hear that sony would put sucha trashy player ina 1500 laptap that they advertise as being an awesome media machine. Could I potentially swap that drive out for a different one and have better results? Also why would the program wanna take 25 hours to write the iso file to the disc?
