    Like I said did you check/change settings in the BIOS you shouldn't let that chip get so hot, the next time it may not turn back on. You can check the CPU fan speed with speedfan free software it will tell you temps too.

      I just installed new (stock) heatsink/fan to my phenom II 940 no overheating problems now. the radiator i bought must be a piece of ****! Thanks to everybody that posted on this you helped a bunch! thank you

        maultct even though I never helped glad you got it working 80 degrees Celsius is equal to 176 degrees Fahrenheit
