    Media inserted in not Blu-Ray????

I am using bata 7.0.5.8 and I still can't Full Disc, BD25 1080p option to work. Everything seems to copy just find but as soon as the movie ejects out and I put the blank blu-ray in I get the

Media inserted in drive F: is not blu-ray disc. Please insert a blu-ray disc to start the copy process

I have had no problems using these same discs to backup using the Main Movie at BD25 compression. I have the latest firmware on my Pioneer BDR-205 burner. I have tried changing the burn engines from imgburn to vso and I get the same results on both. The RITEK-BR2-00 media I have been using for over a year hasn't given me any problem on anything else in the past. Here are a few of the logs.

Please do yourself a favor, change your way of handling the process.
    (1) Rip your BD to HDD and use it as a source for processing
    (2) Process it to BD25 to iso from HDD to HDD
    (3) Burn your final BD25 iso to your disc outside DVDFab, using stand alone ImgBurn.
This is your "customized" process. Try it.

Still having the same problem when I try to Backup using the Full Disc option with BD25 compression. I tried using Memorex BD-R Single Layers with the exact same result. However when I use BD-RE discs it works fine. I tried backing up using Full Disc with no compression using a Sony BD-RE DL 50GB and it worked fine. Then I tried again using a TDK BD-RE SL 25GB with BD25 compression this time and that worked also. The problems seem to happen every time I use BD-R (write once) media and the brand doesn't seem to matter.

Actually the Ritek-BR2-00s that you were using are most likely the exact same as the Memorex that you just switched to. I bought a few of those blue covered memorex and if I remember correctly that sounds like the media code for those as well. Go online and buy like one or two of a couple different kinds, preferably verbatim but I've been having great results with the Optical Quantums also which are about 2 bucks a piece on Newegg. Let us know if it works out for ya.

Just installed 7.0.6.9 and I am still getting the media inserted in not Blu-Ray. It only happen when I use the Full Disc option, and only with discs that are not re-writable (write once discs). I have tried several brands now and have yet to find anything that work. Do you think this is a disc problem or something else? It happens using img burn as well as the vso writer. It don't matter if I burn to hard drive first as an image file or copy directly from disc. I have wasted at least 15 discs trying to figure this out. If I need to by another brand, what are people using that aren't getting this problem. Also I have about 80 of the RITEK-BR2-00 is there any way they can fix this with the next version update?

Again no problems using the RITEK-BR2-00 or Memorex BD-R Single Layer with smaller discs that don't need compression ( less that about 23.1GB), and no problem compressing the larger Blu-Rays if I do the main movie only. It does happen 100% of the time I try a Full Disc option and use compression, unless of course I use an RW disc.

              captainken,
despite the fact that media you are using isn't the best one out there, but it workable under certain conditions, and those conditions are:

aa. use ImgBurn as your burning engine with DVDFab. DVDFab doesn't have its own burning engine, but "subcontracting" one of three: VSO, Nero or ImgBurn. ImgBurn proven to be best. Unfortunately, because ImgBurn is a freeware, it can't be used in commercial software as DVDFab (in other words, you can't sell freeware). But you can make changes in a "aftermarket". So, please visit this thread, it explains how to make ImgBurn you burning engine:

bb. Writing speed. If you google your media and found quite a few negative comments, don't panic, but reduce writing speed proportionally - more negative comments, less speed.

Please try these recommendations and let us know.

I am using ImgBurn and have it set up just like it says on your link. Changing burning does nothing because as soon as I put the blank media in the tray (with Full Disk selected) the media is ejected back out in less than 10 seconds before during the scan before the burn process even starts and tell me the media isn't Blu-Ray. Changing the speed even to 1x does nothing.

100 percent I can select main movie and max write speed and burn a perfect backup all 23.1 GB worth. I have burn many using main movie and have been doing so since when version 6 first came out. Now with version 7, yes I have tried every update including all the betas and every I go to full disc it scans and ejects back out but then using the exact same it will burn using main movie.

Here is the dvdfab_internal file that was created when I ripped to blue ray to the hard drive to create the image file. Every thing looks good to me and it worked perfect.

                              DVDFab 7.0.6.9 (2010/06/06 15:34:12)

There is no dvdfab_burn_vso file because the black blu-ray is ejected out by DVDFab before ImgBurn even opens up.

I do however have an idea what the problem might be, look at the file below, the dvdfab_burn_vso file. I have the software set to burn using ImgBurn so I am not sure why it is creating this file at all. Plus it is looking at my E drive, the LITE-ON DVD burner (not blu-Ray), the blu-ray is my F: drive. It is looks like when I select the Full Disc option for some reason the vso buring engine opens the E: drive (non ble-ray drive) and can't find the blank blu-ray media when is F: drive.

The really odd thing is this only happens when I select Full Disc and not when I select the Main Movie option. It also doesn't happen when I use any kind of RW Blu-Ray media. What do you think?
