gtx 275 or 260 for better compression time?

Hi, I want to buy a video card that would give me the fastest performance for using dvdfab blue-ray to blu-ray. I don't know if the more core will result in more performance or it does not matter. Please someone help me decide which would take me less time compressing blu-ray movies. 275 or 260?

We use Core i7 with GTX 275, which takes normally less than 2 hours to backup a Blu-ray in "Full Disc" mode.

thanks for the reply. I seen different version of gtx 275 which would be best I saw this one EVGA Geforce GTX275 CO-OP PhysX Edition and I thought I would take advantage of cuda in dvdfab. This is supposed to have two gpu's in one card one gtx 275 and gts 250 which would be dedicated for physX and cuda. Would this be the best version of gtx 275 to get for dvdfab blu-ray to blu-ray.

I am new here and a couple of weeks ago I was told to get a GTX 260. It would help my speeds. I upgraded to a 750 power supply and a EVGA gxt 260. I can still return the card if the 275 is a better one. I'm not a gamer but would like to have my burning times reduced as much as possible.

for personal experience I don't know which of the two is better but some people say 275 work good with dvdfab.

From DVDFab perspective, there is not much of a difference between 260 and 275 - just don't forget to disable PhysX function to reduce timing for switch referencing. You have to turn it back on for gaming though. The only advantage of using 275 is the fact that devs are using it as well, so you know that devs tested soft on same card.

U can disable PhysX from nVIDIA control panel - right-click anywhere on desktop to access nVIDIA control panel.
I know about GTX470 performance only from reviews, and it seems too good for DVDFab, which means u can actually experience worse performance with DVDFab. Wait for devs to adjust to new generation and cards will be cheaper by then too.

I dont think anyone have tested dvdfab with gtx 470 or 480 because of nvidia driver error issue. I had a 480 and install their latest official and beta drivers and had no luck enabling software+cuda.

That is exactly what I was implying in my previous post. Knowing architecture of the card, and basics of CUDA processing/data management in DVDFab, I can tell it wouldn't work until devs will make some changes in their CUDA script. I just was very gentle by saying that you can actually experience downgrade in performance.

Thank you for all your replies. I am very happy with dvdfab and how they continue to improve their product for blu-ray to blu-ray. I hope they keep working with cuda so its not so cpu hungry. I would really like to see customize compression in the future where you choose the compression level for each titles like for instance set intro compression highest and movie compression low.

That is exactly what makes DVDFab so unique. DVDFab is the ONLY software that removing protection, converting most of the content into desirable format and is CUDA enabled. There is no other software exist that have all these qualities in one.
