Is there anyway to speed up the encoding process? As of right now I'm getting between 2.5mb/s - 5mb/s. I have an AMD Phenom X4 965 3.4Ghz with 8gb ddr2 800 and Radeon HD 4870 1GB. Any suggestions?

Unless you change your ATI card to nVIDIA CUDA-enabled card, this is it.... which is not that bad of a speed you currently have.

You may also be able to speed up the process by ripping the disc to your harddrive as a BD50, then compressing from one drive to another if you haven't already tried that. I get about 5 Mb/s from the Blu-ray drive and maybe 7-8 from the HD.Comment
