Okay, I feel like and idiot. I backed up the entire Matrix triology today and those movies are encoded with the same VC-1 codec. When I look at the streams (thumbnails) on my computer I can't see an image just a blank square and the properties say no video, or 0kbps. Every other movie I have backed up always had an image in the thumbnail and said 37,000kbps or something like that, so I figured something was wrong. I played all the matrix movies using powerdvd and mpc. So nothing was wrong with LOTR, I had all the information on my hard drive I just used the wrong media player.
