I do not understand why everyone seem to think it a DVDFab problem when the Anti-virus program they use thinks DVDFab dangerous. Get better Anti-virus program and it not going to happen.
As for rating High in virus protection what you should really be looking at is protection and False Positive alerts but more for False Positive alerts. You do not want a program that gives you too many false positive alerts

Bit Defender Issue
I have found a fix...albeit one that I'm not ecstatic about since no program should produce false positives in an Antivirus. Anyway, I'm not sure if there is anything else that will happen, but at least I got the new DVDFAB 8.0.6.1 to launch.
Open up Bit Defender. Click on the Antivirus tab on the left. Then click on the Shield tab on top. Under Protection Level, click on Advanced Settings. Under Exclusions, click on the little Plus Sign (+) on the right above the list. This will let you add programs to not trigger on. I did some trials and it looks like you need to exclude both DVDFAB.EXE and REGOPERATOR.EXE which are in the DVDFAB 8 folder in Program Files. You should browse to find them.
Once you have excluded them, the program should work.
AGJ, whoever you are, you shouldn't be so negative to people that are having problems. The odds are VERY HIGH that if one antivirus program is having issues, others will also. I suggest that Fengtao investigate the problem in order to avoid issues in the future. It would be in their best interest as well as ours.
P.S. Bit Defender is probably the top rated antivirus program (Well, maybe Kaspersky is a little better, but more expensive) so it shouldn't be blown away as defective software.Last edited by Joseph Pineau; 12-19-2010, 11:55 PM.

fengtao has not even replied to this thread and so far it just BitDefender causing the problem so it more the Anti-virus programs problem and they need to update their program to not think DVDFab dangereous.
Also it has been reported that when using Game Mode DVDFab works as well. Everyone who using BitDefender needs to contact them to fix this problem since it an issue with latest update they released

BitDefenders horrible. Switch to something else, my suggestions: ESET NOD32 or Smart Security, Kaspersky Antivirus or Internet Security or avast is usually pretty good.SPECS

McAfee could be having trouble as well (still investigating)
Early last night I performed a Full Disk copy and it worked fine.
later Last night, (Dec 20) I got a message that McAfee quarantined a file. I didn't have time to investigate this.
This morning I was going to set up to perform a DVD Ripper from the file I just copied last night. It crashed stating that DVDFAb cannot continue.
Tried multiple times. I then downloaded the newest version and installed it and it crashed as well. Nothing gets reported in the log file.
I then opened up older 7.?? version (it worked fine.).
I had to go to work. Later tonight, I will see if I can get to the bottom of this problem and verify if it a McAfee problem for sure.
When I got to work this morning I thought I would look to see if others were having similar problems and I ran across this thread.
