Cannot open disc in WHS

I apologize, I found a thread similar to this issue before registering, but now after registering I cannot find the same thread to continue the issue.

I want to run DVDFab on my Windows Home Server. I know it sounds strange, but for my situation it's more efficient.

I installed DVDFab, pasted in my registration key, etc. When I put a DVD in, it doesn't see the disc, it says to insert a DVD. If I select the DVD from the drop-down, it will try to open the disc then immediately stop trying. From the browse list, DVDFab seems to see it as a DVD.

I have tried multiple DVDs, and these DVDs will open with my regular computer.

I am accessing the WHS via RDP (remote desktop).

No need to apologize as it is better to start your own thread as *your* problem will very seldom be the same as the original posters thread.

It looks like you are using V 8061 update to V 8065...

Do you have any other logs than what you have posted?

These are the only two logs there right now, although there's other information in them, but it's redundant.

I tried to update from the product but it says I'm up to date. I'll try this.

The update did not resolve the issue.

It is to do with rights an priviledges using RDP.

Try it natively on the machine.

Bummer, it's a headless server. I may try VNC since it would be the same as being on the computer.
