That is a pain in the butt. I have been having this probelm for a while too. The last one I did, I did not check the change playback order, or jump to main title and it played in English. I was doing the whole DVD too and not just the main movie.

Dvd playback not defaulting to english
I have been fighting this problem for some time like others who have posted here. Why have a feature that produces unsatisfactory backups? Perhaps
DVDFab will correct this so that we can sing more praises to a great product line.Comment

This has been an issue in Full Disc mode for a while. IIRC it only pops up when you check "Change DVD Playback Order" and one of the "Jump To" options. Whenever I leave these unchecked it maintains the default language of English. But when I check these options, your guess is as good as mine as to what will be picked as the default language. Sometimes it is English, but I've gotten French, Spanish and even Portuguese.Comment
