    Need Preview

I'm new to the product and the forum. I need the Preview to work. I bought the product to make customized DVDs of my home recorded DVDs (Funai DVR). Without functioning Preview, you can't see that titles your working with. Is this why the price went down for a lifetime license??

Use 8.1.2.6 to rip the DVD to the HDD then back to 8.0.8.5 to do whatever to the HDD folder. This is not intended to be a fix, not within my purview, just a workaround.

    Any news?

Just installed 8.1.2.6 on XPSP3 and am having the same problem. No preview window. Had to update to get a new movie ripped, previously 8085 worked fine.

    Any update?

Still no luck here with the Preview Window on the latest 8125QT, just downloaded.

Cannot make it happen in any way.

The good ol' 8085 comes up trumps every time.

Don't know if this has any bearing, but with '8085' I can size the 'window' to suit what I want and each time I open the progam, it opens in that same size that I previously set.

With the later versions of the program, I can resize the window, but it will only hold at that size whilst the program is open.
If I close the program and re-open it it always comes back 'full screen'

Dunno, I'm not up with these things, so sorry if it means nothing.

    Hi there,
Please try the lastest build 8122 QT beta and tell us the result.
    Wish you success.

Yes, have the same problems here the tango. After using 8.1.1.2, went back to 8.1.2.0 and have the problems there too. Running on win 7 pro x64.

No idea what happened but the preview is now working. I haven't changed anything - First the preview would work on the main movie only - then a couple of days later it started working on all the files.

I hadn't added/removed/changed anything - Wish I could offer a solution for the people that may be having the same problem.

I assume that 8.1.1.9 is for "Thor" and doesn't address the preview window problem.

8118QT Preview Window not working for me.

For memory, it hasn't worked in the last couple of versions either, but I don't use it much.

Preview Window working fine on the still installed 8085.

(Any update on if "Customize" will be operational for Blu-ray Copy in the future?)

    Still no preview - 8.1.1.8

8.1.1.8 - Preview still NOT working

Why is "Enable DXVA Acceleration" grayed out? Its not grayed out in 8.0.8.5

It may have something to do with my OCD behavior of a clean uninstall before each new version. I scrub the registry with CCleaner, usually about three times, to rid it of all references to DVDFab and I even clean the Prefetch folder of Fab files. I realize it is probably not necessary, but things go pretty smoothly for me.

Yuppers, I think you nailed it.

The preview function on 8117 Beta won't play nice at all on my desktop, Win7 Pro 64-bit.

Both DirectShow and Internal crash Fab each and every time.
Disabling the autoplay function simply delays the inevitable crash.

    //Edit
I should have added that previous versions did not cause any major problems for me
and actually now that I think about it, hardly any minor problems
