I had same problem initially. @ 2-3% received error message.

I have two DVD drives I usually use one for reading and one for writing. I couldn't rip it in the one I use for reading so I switched. I put the DVD in other drive and it made it all the way through ripping it to the hard drive. Using: 6.2.0.5. It slowed down @ 3% and again at 67% but I recieved no messages and I did not select ignore errors.
I then made a backup copy DVD-5 from my Hard drive to verify that it works.
jolly-roger, well said i was about to answer with that point as well. Anyway each to their own.
Back to the problem, i still cannot backup this movie at all.
This must be a new copy protection from sony as not even pathplayer opens the disc in the right sequence. It highlights the wrong chapter as the main movie.
Lets see if fengtao will sort it out.
i contacted fengtao, they advised me to use the beta version, but like jolly-roger said, samethang!
i also was able to backup the movie using version 6.2.0.5 by choosing video 1 with pathplayer always enabled region 1. I watched it completely with no problems....
First i received a read error message with the movie in my dvdrom i then put it in my Plexter 760A I disabled PathPlayer and i recieved no read error messages and the DVD-5 backup disc works perfectly.

Never had any issues with any DVD except for now with District 9, so I thought I'd chime in. Same problem as most users are reporting. This is for District 9 DVD (region 1 - Canada).
With DVDFab version 6.2.0.5, tried everything but it would get to 2.96% complete and it freezes. Ignore ALL Errors did nothing.
Since others have reported success with this, I thought I'd give it a try and it worked fine. Disabled PP, backed up the Main Movie only (Title 1) and got rid of all the audio tracks except for the main AC3/5.1 so I was able to fit it on a DVD5 with no compression, and that worked fine except for some error messages during writing (?) but I clicked on Ignore All and it finished using the built-in VSO burning engine.
Tried the backup briefly and it seems fine. I'll post back if I encounter any issues since I plan on watching the whole thing tonight.
^^ I couldn't update my post above but I just wanted to say the backup that I made (as per my post - Main Movie only) did indeed play-back fine from start to finish (even though there were "read errors" during the writing task - 2/2).
